Expedia did not notify us that this hotel is under renovation. The room the originally assigned me had an odor, sticky floors and a couple bugs found. The second room was better but still not very clean and the sink drained very slow.. it faced all the construction and workers were close to the room.

Construction is very messy. The beds felt amazing but only full size is available. Didn't eat the free breakfast because we didn't have time so I can't rate that. The price was good. Hopefully once the construction is done it will be nice. Looks like the construction guys are very messy and leave trash.

Room was disgusting, bottom of feet were black from dirty floor. Hair all over the shower. Towels and sheets were all stained and gross. Dead bugs and dust/dirt everywhere. Train next to property was sooo loud. Same with the highway noises. Walls were paper thin. Front desk staff were very unprofessional. EXTREMELY overpriced. Avoid this place.

Our room was fine & the bed was comfortable. The bathroom tub was badly stained though and there was a nice spider with dirt hanging out in the corner. However, the property itself was undergoing a major renovation and the place looked shut down when we first arrived. There was garbage and scrap materials everywhere. The renovation crew did a lousy job of keeping the property clean. This should have been noted on the property’s listing! Also, if you’re a light sleeper, I do not recommend. The noise from the rail yard across the street is almost unbearable. All we heard was the sound of screeching brakes all evening and night.

Oh my...

If you are not particular where you lay your head for a few hours to sleep- you will be fine. The 2 people I had contact with upon check in and check out were friendly, but the property is a hot mess. Its undergoing some renovations but its just...messy. I dont know how else to describe it. Its an old hotel. Our room- air worked and bed was comfortable but the tv didnt work-never did figure it out, the shower head was a weird gooseneck and sprayed all crazy. I can handle the old cigarette burns on the tub, but when I have to use the stir sticks for the coffee to clean out what looked like YEARS of gross hair out of the drain- I almost lost my dinner. How do you not see this when you clean the room!? Gross! Yes, I read reviews, took my chances, maybe after renos it'll be better... it is less than 10 min to the zoo- which is mainly why I chose it. Site will not let me add pics...

The first room they put us in was nasty, to the point no one can sleep there and then they move us to another room that was still nasty and dirty. I ask the lady at the desk for small towels she stated that they didn’t have any. I will not recommend my worst enemy to stay there how nasty it was. Spend the extra $ somewhere else

Upon arriving, I found out that the hotel was under construction. In the beginning, I wasn’t even sure it was still open. When I called the front desk, the girl was not very friendly and basically just said “well if there’s not yellow tape in front of the door, then it’s open.” When I got to my hotel room, the smoke detector was beeping because the battery cover was off and there was no battery in the smoke detector. I called the front desk and asked to please come rectify the situation. I then left my room to grab food and drive around. When I returned, 4 hours later, the smoke detector was still beeping. At that time, I called the front desk and they finally sent a maintenance person who showed up with a cigarette and looked like a random person coming off the street. Although I had to open the door to see because the peep hole had been covered up. As I began to look around the room, I realized exactly how dirty it was. I have included pictures. Even though there was a sign in the room that said it was a no smoking room the smell of smoke stayed with me on my clothes, even after checking out of the hotel. The continental breakfast was the only nice touch. Luckily I was there early enough that there was plenty of room to sit and it still seemed relatively clean. However, I did take a picture of the attendant that was there in the morning who also just looked like a high school student had just rolled out of bed. On me, I guess, you get what you pay4

While my family normally wouldn't mind construction and regular construction mess, this hotel was beyond what anyone would consider normal mess. There was limited parking due to construction, the dumpsters and the mess in the parking lot. The stairs were cracked and felt very unsafe. They had 5 gallon dirty paint buckets all over every walkway, paint scraps, dust, electrical cords, free standing toilets, doors, etc all over. Our room was ok and looked updated but there were cigarette burns in the sheet as well as a stained mattress. Dirt on the ground and dirt smeared on the walls (I hope it was just dirt). The bath/shower had brown stains on it and there was hair/dust/cobwebs/crumbs in every corner. I am unsure the room had been cleaned in quite some time. I didn't expect gourmet breakfast but I did expect not to have clumps of white substances in the Cheerios. The good thing about the hotel is that it is in walking distance to Cracker Barrel.
