Our getaway is a central hub to enjoying scenic southern Utah: Visit Zion, Kolob and Bryce Canyons, Cedar Breaks, Brianhead ski resort and so much more. The rental is a totally private walk-out basement with 2,300 square feet of self-contained living area. Just hubby and I reside in the upper level. No stairs to navigate, you will have private parking and a patio entrance. Big windows make this unit light and bright. Step into another world with our southwestern antiques and cowboy theme.

The space
With a unique western flair, our home combines a pine cabin feel, decorated with heirlooms from our western family heritage. You will have the spacious walk-out basement all to yourself, with private entrance and parking, covered patio, large backyard and swing set with tower slide.

The great room features a large sectional sofa, including three recliners and a 70-inch TV. Four large bedrooms and two spacious bathrooms, along with a fully equipped kitchen provide a comfy home away from home.

Our getaway is in a small, quiet and very scenic neighborhood nestled in a peaceful valley with gorgeous views from our home. Longhorn and angus cattle graze in the fields down the street. Deer and wild turkey frequently visit our backyard. The view to the east of our home is the majestic "Kolob Fingers", which are five massive red rock cliffs comprising part of Zion National Park. Beautiful Pine Mountain is viewed from the large windows to the west. This quiet valley also exhibits gorgeous night skies and a vivid Milky Way! If you crave getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life, Kolob Kountry is the place for you !

Guest access
Approximately midway between St. George and Cedar City, we are located just 8 minutes drive off I-15. Taking the #42 exit west brings you on a short country drive to our spacious home. A large area of off road parking is convenient to the private rear entrance and there is ample space for multiple vehicles and trailers. No steps or stairs are involved within the home or accessing it from the parking area.

We are situated in a hub for unbeatable day trips for exploring, hiking, boating, fishing, photography, biking, skiing and four-wheeling.

Spacious basement apartment

Huge basement apartment. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the unit. 4 bedrooms and lots of extra space to spread out for our teen boys. Foosball was a hit and the family room was very comfortable. Jennifer did a great job making sure we had everything we needed.

This basement getaway was a clean, quiet place to stay with great detail to the decor and cozy atmosphere. The hosts went out of their way to help when we had a medical concern and kept an open line of communication.

Lovely place to stay while enjoying Zion National Park

This is a beautiful home and we were very comfortable here while visiting Zion national park. We needed to do some laundry which we had to do in the owner's part of the house. She was very gracious and helpful. We cooked meals which was very nice. We saw several deer in the backyard which was special.

Zion with friends

This home was very nice & the owners were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again if we returned for another trip to Zion. The only thing that could have made it better would be to have a washer & dryer and a dishwasher included.

Spacious and relaxing

We stayed here while we visited Zion and Bryce. The location was convenient, especially to Kolob Caverns (part of Zion). The space was enormous and very comfortable. My kids appreciated finally staying somewhere with soft, clean carpet and a grassy outside space. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking and there was a basket of treats for us on the table when we arrived. Communication with the host was excellent. Just as an FYI, the washer and dryer are upstairs in the hosts' living area. It worked out ok and Jennifer was very gracious when I asked to do laundry, but wasn't what I expected. We were treated to a herd of 15+ mule deer in the yard one evening, which was great fun. The fooseball table and abundance of books and games kept us entertained in the evenings.

Beautiful Home in Southern Utah

This basement apartment was great for our trip! We were hiking in Zion which was ~45 min away but we didn’t mind the drive since it was close to Cedar City with many stores and restaurants. The host was very easy to communicate with and accommodated our needs with no issues. Would definitely stay again! Located in a peaceful neighborhood it was the perfect get away for our fall vacation.

Great place to stay!

This property is so well taken card of. It was close to all the national parks we wished to visit. Our hosts were super kind and were able to accommodate an earlier than normal check-in, which we were so grateful for. We'll definitely visit again!
