The room was humid, for the charge of this hotel, the towels should have been thicker. They were thin and scratchy. We couldn’t set the air below 67. Uncomfortably warm and humid. Staff was exceptional though and drinks are the bar phenomenal! I’m sure the food was good too.

The staff was amazing and attentive. The hotel is beautiful and the dinner at their restaurant was delicious. We lucked out with a jazz band playing in the lobby with happy hour on a Thursday! The room was 5 star, beautiful bathroom and bedroom with a view of the port. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! We would definitely stay there again!

This was an interesting hotel with amazing rooms. Our room was enormous and well laid out. There was a glass bottle available for the water cooler that offered both still and sparkling water. The bed was large and comfortable. We had a nice sofa in front of a large tv, a table that served as a desk and a large well decorated bathroom.

All the right vibes

This was my second stay at the Marcel and I really love it. The front desk folks are super friendly and the extra touches — like the refillable glass water bottle (with seltzer available too!) and various light/shade options — show the thoughtfulness of the design of the whole experience. All with a chill vibe — not pretentious or obnoxious. Hope to be back soon!

Love this place. From the Tesla charger outside, to the New Haven shore. To the brutalist building, great restaurant downstairs. Comfortable room. Eco building. And special water dispensers on every floor.
