Olivier House is located in the heart of the French Quarter and within walking distance of everything. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. We felt safe in the area…someone was at the front desk 24/7 and always available. There was water bottles, coffee, hot chocolate and oatmeal available as well as tangerines and assortment of snacks free to guests. A lovely courtyard with fountains was a nice touch. They store luggage if you need accommodated. The hotel is definitely not modern and retains the appearance of an old quaint environment. However, the shower was wonderful with hot water and all the convenience of modern day. There is a microwave, coffee pot and fridge. The bedspread and curtains are worn but sheets were clean. Remember, this is an old house and walls are not soundproof so be respectful of your neighbors. Also, noise from the street can be bothersome….bring earplugs. Daily housekeeping always made the beds and supplied towels but occasionally missed replacing coffee and hair products. We would recommend some places to eat…for breakfast, we liked Wakin Bakin on Dumaine and Dauphine and Ocena on Conti….nothing fancy but good breakfast. Also, try The Royal House Oyster Bar on Royal…..wonderful for any meal. .The Tipsy Trumpet and Buffas for jazz. WWII museum is a must see, Swamp tour is great, cemetary tour a must and Hop on Hop Off bus is a good start to all of it. Just wear comfortable shoes and start exploring!!

I loved this hotel! It was charming and so much character. It was a little loud but I stayed during Mardi Gras so that was too be expected. I think having the spiral staircase in the Petite Loft was challenging to maneuver as well so you if think that'll be an issue just choose a different room. :) I would definitely start here again, I would just choose a run without stairs.

Best place to stay! I would stay here again and again. Don’t hear the noise of bourbon street. It is older so if you can hear creeks of people walking above but it’s not crazy. Just pretend they are ghosts! The staff and the employee of the month are super friendly! There is water, coffee and snacks in the lobby. Also a piano and guitar in the lobby if you want to play. Overall a beautiful atmosphere and great experience! I can’t wait to come back again!

Olivier House has the feel of a B&B but all the expected hotel amenities. We stayed in the Xiques Mansion. Very quiet and comfortable and only a block off Bourbon on Dauphine. Highly recommend.

Clean and well cared for. The only problem was the sofa sleeper in the mini suite. It’s too uncomfortable to sleep on. It would be a problem if you are depending on having a third bed. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Overall an excellent experience.

Staying here made our trip an adventure. We loved the vibe of the Olivier House. Could not ask for a better location. In the middle of the FQ but a on quieter street. The hosts were excellent too. Highly recommended for those who appreciate historical charm, comfort and convenience. More suited for a romantic getaway for a couple vs families or a party crowd. Unforgettable place!

Beautiful, old, romantic property. Dark and quiet. About 30 yards from Bourbon and you’re smack dab in the middle of the craziness. Service was great and minimal interaction was needed. Will stay again. If you’re looking for the corporate, modern stay this is not the place it has the feel of an old beautiful mansion and old NOLA.
