Alarm woke us up at 3:30am telling us to go downstairs and not to use the elevator for an emergency. Then staff came over the intercom for like 5 minutes saying there was a malfunction or error with their alarm system to disregard. Scared me out of a dead sleep. They charge you some kind of extra fee of $25 a day plus tax that we were not expecting.

The Royal Sonesta in New Orleans is always a consistently great place to stay. This time was no exception. The staff are always welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for enjoying New Orleans.

We had a great time at the Royal Sonesta this weekend. Had an early administrative issue (thanks a lot Expedia) that was quickly resolved by Ms. Chantel at the front desk, but other than that - everything was perfect! The room was gorgeous and well maintained. The location was perfect, and don’t let the comments scare you from staying on Bourbon street. Sleep is possible lol.
