Malcom the concierge was the best thing this hotel has, he made everything x10 , not one person who interacted with him didn’t walk away smiling from ear to ear, the rooms need help, the carpet was a bit musty, and dated, definitely needs a makeover, lots of rust showing and no water pressure in the shower , but realize the hotel was built in 1969, a little spruce up and can come back to its grand glory, I would absolutely stay again because of malcom

Location was good, nice court yard and front desk friendly. Bartender at bar at pool was great. Hall carpet was pretty bad and dirty, 8 dollars for a water in our room seems expensive and at the prices we paid per night should have been included. Woman with kids yelling at the pool and hotel employees out there with them but did nothing until people staying there started complaining.

Nice clean room, friendly and helpful staff, great location. We wanted to be able to easily access the pool and poolside bar from our balcony and it was perfect. Will book again.

Very nice experience. Staff was very friendly and proffessioal. Very nice location you can walk almost evetywhere. The resturaunt had very good breakfast. Ibwill end by saying Bourbon Street is NOT what it used to be shocking disapointment..even if you wanted to listen to good jazz the noise and kids beating on buckets outside ruined the experience.

Bed and pillows were great. We had a suite. Everything was really overall great. The only issues were the tv’s are not smart and you rely on their cable, which wasn’t working. So no tv. When it did come back on the options for the menu or guide wouldn’t work. The other thing was our phone in the room wasn’t working. I couldn’t call down for anything, bell hop, front desk or valet parking. For the $400 a night I expect better.

It was centrally located to Bourbon St, clean and safe but otherwise, very disappointing. Although Hotels.com advertises that all fees are included, the price of our room increased by $80 a night upon check in due to a $55 daily car fee as well as a $25 per night “resort fee”. Although the pictures show luxurious, updated rooms, our more expensive balcony room was tiny, uncomfortable, sparsely decorated and in bad need of an update. The bed was so old that my son and I kept rolling together in the middle. I rarely leave negative reviews but I’d avoid the Royal Sonesta in New Orleans. We ended up moving to a newer hotel about a half mile away that was the same price before the fees and extremely luxurious and comfortable.
