Pluses- The room was a good size and quiet. The included breakfast was actually pretty good Minuses- The staff were a bit dismissive and disinterested. They told us many times at check in that the hotel was an “ express” not a full Holiday Inn” Their website says there is full dinner available which is misleading! We were told to use the QR code in our room to view the menu and order but it didn’t work. We ordered via the room phone and they called us when it was ready but it is served in take away boxes!! Also very expensive- we ordered a pizza at $30 and it was the tiniest pizza I’ve seen!

We love staying at the Holiday Inn Newcastle. Its clean, modern, hospitality and local to shops and other amenities. Overall I would return knowing we’ll receive the same level of service, venue standards and hospitality. Only small downsides is cost of parking and variety of breakfast options.

Great location, wonderful room

Excellent room, we loved the free breakfast and the simple layout of the spaces, from the lobby to the room itself. Great bed and a wonderful location. You can park on the street from until 9am the next morning, if you want to avoid paying for parking overnight.
