Haven in the Burn is the perfect location offering you the opportunity to be close to many top attractions and only a few miles from Newcastle. Blaydon Burn is over a mile long with over 247 acres of woodland, grassland and wildlife. Nearby the Derwent Walk Country Park is an amazing large park. The country park runs from Swalwell to Rowlands Gill through the River Derwent Valley and is made up of several countryside sites joined together including The Derwent Walk and Derwenthaugh Park. The Coast-to-Coast Cycle Path, National Cycle Network No 14 runs through the country park. There are two visitor centres with cafés, two bird hides, public toilets and seven car parks. The vibrant city of Newcastle is only 6 miles away, experience some real ’Geordie’ hospitality whilst soaking in the atmosphere along the popular Grey Street, oozing character with the Theatre Royal and a wonderful selection of bars and restaurants for all ages.
