Was a quick stay & was wonderful . Loved how close we were to the beach. The heated pool is small but good enough for some laps. Loved your lounge area.
The concept of Sonder seems great. But the overall experience of a room doesn’t feel like it’s portrayed online. Very cheap fixtures and furniture give away a quick flip of a motel with IKEA furniture. A few damaged pieces of hardware in the bathroom. Could be cool one day. Right now it very underwhelming.
I looked at so many reviews on hotels when trying to figure out what to say. This hotel was mixed reviews but I took my chance. The location makes the difference on staying here. It's really the biggest pro of this property. Why I rated it a 3 stars would be the following
The Room wasn't super clean, there was some gross stuff on the linen and the toilet hadn't been super cleaned so I imagine the rest of the space was cleaned poorly as well.
The room was SO noisey, I was in room 208 and if you get it, ask to switch. The entrance door was below me room and you can hear the automatic door open all day and night. The door to my room doesn't full seal shut so that adds to the noise and also my safety concern as I was traveling alone. My neighbors were so loud, all day and night long. I understand the hotel can't really control some of these elements but giving my honest review.
These really are the main 3 main reasons for my review.
The staff was amazing and so nice, the location and how close I was to the beach was LOVELY. I did uber every where so I don't have any say on parking but it was usually full so make sure to reserve a spot if thats an option.
EAT CHOW is right next to the hotel and their food was great incase anyone is looking for a local recommendation. Oak and Coal and ROL were also great local food I really enjoyed!
Absolutely delightful stay. Quiet space. Near the beach and skme gorgeous areas to hit up. I will be back!

Liked: Amenities
Was a little unpleasantly surprised when I first saw the room not a lot lighting no water and the balcony was tiny and obviously because the hotel is by the highway or the freeway, it was somewhat noisy but in the end, it was fine.
Overall for the price this place was good. The location is good as there are plenty of places nearby to eat breakfast and dinner. You will be steps from the beach. The app to open doors was a bit of a pain because well you have to dig your phone out and open the app and hold it by the lock for what seemed like a long time to unlock doors in the building. I prefer a key card. If you're looking for a dark quiet room don't get a balcony. The light on the balcony stays on all night and it's right on a very busy road PCH so you will hear traffic noise. It was too cold and gloomy to use the pool so I have no review on that area. The pillows were too big and bulky for my taste. I prefer a pillow that my head can sink into so that it's not propped up all high when I sleep. Next time I'll bring a pillow from home. Parking was fine I just parked on a back local street a block away.
