We checked in to the Oakes Hotel and the check in was smooth and quick and the front desk clerk was exceptional and very helpful with all the questions we had. She had many recommendations for places to eat and coupon vouchers were given to us! Thank you I will stay here again!

There was a swingers party going on on floors 2-7 and the front desk informed us if we needed extra towels or anything they would not be able so send anyone. We would have to come to the desk and pick them up. People were smoking weed outside the front entrance. Half naked in lobby. Will most likely not be returning to the Oakes in future. This was a hotel we enjoyed staying at when we visit the Falls

The view from the room was 10/10 and reasonably priced - however we were hit with a $15 fee and $50 parking when we arrived. There was also no hot water for the shower or the tap. Overall a good location and it was ok for the price.

We stayed here for my birthday weekend and had an extremely disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt dingy and poorly maintained, and the front desk staff were rude and unwelcoming. We paid for what was supposed to be the best room in the hotel, yet the room was falling apart — broken drawers and a non-functioning toilet. After a long drive, we tried to use the bathroom and found the toilet wouldn’t flush. Maintenance blamed “water pressure on higher floors” (we were on the 14th floor), which made no sense as we’ve stayed on much higher floors elsewhere without issue. Maintenance came multiple times, admitted the flush was stuck and the tank wasn’t filling, claimed it was fixed, but the issue kept returning. Each time we used the toilet, it stopped working again. When we called the front desk for help, we were told if we called again we’d be checked out early with no refund, which was rude and unacceptable. We ended up fixing the toilet ourselves all weekend. The next day it clogged, and the front desk brought us a plunger and told us to fix it ourselves. At checkout, when we explained our experience, the staff member laughed and mocked us while asking her manager if anything could be done. No apology, no accountability. This completely ruined our birthday weekend. Would not recommend even to my worst enemy.
