It is such a cute revival of a motor inn! The room was clean, the decor, spot on, everything worked, bathroom was white, clean. Towels were new and fluffy. The light fixtures worked. The bed and sheets were comfortable and clean. The key word for this room was CLEAN.

Awesome place..Beds pillows and sheets where very comfortable. Room was clean and tidy. The decor and tv where great. The only problem was clogged shower. But was fixed the next day.

Like a slice of Mid Century Modern, Palm Springs motel. Hip, retro, restored, classy Grindhouse-style stay. The staff are great, the pool is great, the amenities are great. There's a bar and a lounge with live music. Its well curated. Its close to major highways to get downtown, and even though it's a bit off the main strip in North Charleston, bars and restaurants are a jump away. With an LGBTQIA+ Cocktail lounge nearby and the kitschy-vibes, complete with 007 movie posters on the walls of the rooms, this is a great independent spirit and likely one of the best concept stays in Charleston.

Super cute retro vibes. Very clean, beautiful rooms with very nice fixtures. Such a fun space all around. Beds were very comfy and room was great. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Charleston. Plus the rate was great!

The hotel is located in a bit of a sketchy area of North Charleston. However, the hotel felt very, very safe. We had an issue with our “neighbors” partying right outside our room, twice, and security was on it immediately! The lounge is funky, in a good way.

Fantastic motel, great stay

The attention to detail, the comfort and standard of fittings in the room are second to none. The check in and paying the security deposit are all handled online. The pool was lovely, as was the outdoor seating area. The only downside was the location. We were there on a Tuesday, when the lounge isnt open, which meant one of us had to drive into downtown Charleston for food, and obviously was unable to drink. Not a detraction on the hotel, but if you want to experience the Starlight at its best, stay on a night when the bar is open too.
