Vain 12 km: n päässä Yosemiten eteläportista sijaitseva Tranquility House on Lewis Creekissä rauhallinen, yksityinen päästöpaikka. Päivitetty koti on tarpeeksi intiimi pariskunnille, mutta riittävän suuri kahdeksan perheen / ystävän ryhmille. Kaksi makuuhuonetta ja parvi, talo nukkuu kahdeksan mukavasti. Muita mukavuuksia ovat kaksi kylpyhuonetta, iso kannella näkymä purolle, uudet keittiökoneet ja massiivinen kivitakka isossa huoneessa. Ikkunanäkymät talon edestä purolle. Vain kuusi mailia kaupunkiin ja 8 mailia Bass Lakeen; suora pääsy korkealle maantielle 632. Isoisäni rakensi kodin 1960-luvulla. Katso myös Water Fall House Lewis Creekillä.
Tämä loma-asunto sijaitsee vain lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä kohteesta Sierra National Forest. Loma-asunnossa tarjoaa asiakkaiden käyttöön muun muassa ilmaisen Wi-Fi-yhteyden ja keittiön.

Wonderful!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights and absolutely loved it! It's such a beautiful and relaxing property and perfectly located near the southgate of Yosemite. Larry was extremely responsive with all questions and was kind enough to provide valuable information concerning the park, along with suggestions for beautiful hikes located near the property. The house was very clean and well stocked with all that we needed.

Perfect spot

This is an ideal place to stay when visiting Yosemite. Fairly close to the South Gate and also close to Oakhurst, it is in a private setting overlooking a rushing stream. The kitchen is well equipped and the downstairs master bed is highly comfortable. The great room is lovely - hard to believe this home was built in the sixties with its high ceilings and open rafters. All in all a great place!

Tranquility

The house is aptly name 'Tranquility House' and is a testament to it. The location is nested in the woods adjacent to a small stream. We stayed there for four days and family really enjoyed the stay. It really provided us the calm atmosphere that we were looking for to get a break from the busy urban life stress. The owner, Doug was very responsive and kept in touch all through to make sure our stay was comfortable. We surely will come back and stay in the cabin for a longer time and refer our friends and families as well. Highly recommended....

Cabin on the creek

This was the cutest cabin on a creek and 10 mins from Yosemite. The pictures do not do justice at all. Nice leather furniture in living room and dining room table to eat. Bedroom downstairs and nice bathroom with towel warmer. Upstairs big bedroom with bathroom and more beds for the kids. Big patio with amazing view of creek. We will definitely stay again when visiting Yosemite.

Great location

It was so beautiful and peaceful. Loved having my coffee on the deck overlooking the creek. Just listening to nature sounds and enjoying the cooler weather. The kitchen had a few staples which was great when we cooked food. Spices and basic cooking needs. Plenty of towels, pillows and blankets for the four of us. Very clean and organized well. It was secluded but not so much that we were nervous staying there. Our fur baby was immediately comfortable there also. We will definitely go back for another stay.

The name, Tranquility House, says it all. Fine accommodations in a bucolic setting.

Quiet, peaceful setting. Great for bird watching, star gazing, and relaxing on the deck overlooking the creek. Central proximity to all 3 National Parks, Yosemite, Sequoia, Kings Canyon. Spacious rooms with comfortable furnishing - we had everything we needed. Doug was a very helpful, responsive and friendly host.

Beautiful, clean, and homey

I stayed here with my husband and our dog. We had such a great time. On our last day we just enjoyed the cabin and the river below. I had the most relaxing reads outside. The sounds of the river are beautiful while cooking or just anywhere in the house, really. Bass Lake and the entrance to Yosemite are nearby. The location of the house is beautiful, although the road in may be muddy or somewhat challenging in the rain or snow.

Family Getaway

The house was amazing, especially the views of the creek! Very clean and great communication with the owner. We had a great time visiting Yosemite, Bass Lake and the Sugar Pine Railroad! Everything was within a quick drive from the house.

We couldn't have asked for more

This was a great stay for the 2 of us and our dog. The location was perfect for our Bass Lake and Yosemite activities, and the house met or exceeded all expectations. As an aside, the food and locally-brewed beers at South Gate Brewery in Oakhurst are great, and the BBQ at Smokehouse 41 shouldn't be missed.

Tranquility House

We enjoyed our stay at Tranquility House in Oakhurst. The home is easy to get to, yet a very quiet, remote retreat. We spent a couple of days in Yosemite hiking to Taft Point off of Glacier Point Road, and down to the Tuolumne Grove of Sequoia trees off Tioga Road. We were lucky to spot a bear near Glacier Point Road. We enjoyed relaxing at the house. Accommodations were perfect. Air conditioning was great and bed was comfortable.

Lovely property

The location of this property is a gem, since the home backs up to a creek. The deck overlooking the creek was a perfect place to take in the beautiful scenery, eat breakfast, or sip a glass of wine. Definitely recommend this home for families!

Couldn’t Ask For More

Doug’s place was the perfect home base for our family on our first trip to California! We chose Oakhurst because we wanted to spend two days at Yosemite Valley, one day around Glacier Point and Sentinel Dome, and one day at King’s Canyon and Sequoia. Each day we slept in and then sat on the back patio overlooking the property’s tranquil, scenic creek, had lunch in the well-equipped kitchen, then left to hike and sightsee, returning well after dark each night. The property feels safe, secluded, and welcoming. The small amenities Doug provided made the place even more comfortable (thank you for the coffee k-cups!). The home felt clean, smelled fresh, and did I mention the creek? The rushing water sounds are so soothing. We came with our teenage daughters. There was ample room for us with the two king bedrooms and the loft, and the two bathrooms were perfect. We had a couple of things we needed to communicate with the owner about, and he was quick to respond and resolve the (minor) issues. Doug was courteous and easy to reach. If you’re considering this place as a base camp for your Yosemite trip, stop hesitating and do it! Google map the drive times to your attractions so you know what to expect... driving 25 miles here really can take 50 minutes. Just know that if you’re not staying in the park, you’re looking at 1.5 hours drive time to anywhere. But the scenery on the drive is part of the experience. We loved it.

Clean and Cozy, Excellent Location

We had a wonderful time staying at this property during our trip to Yosemite. It was an easy and beautiful drive to the park. The place was incredibly clean and cozy, a perfect place to rest our heads after a long day of hiking. The driving and check in instructions were extremely clear. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!!

Tranquility House in Oakhurst, CA

We had a great stay at the Tranquility house in Oakhurst. The property is beautiful and clean with a great backyard deck that looks over a creek. We really enjoyed our stay - especially hearing the sounds of nature. The property is also super close to the south gate of Yosemite and Bass Lake, so there's plenty to do.
