Read the fine print and make sure you have $100 room deposit available otherwise expect them to not allow you access to your room and to not refund the money you paid for your room. I haven't booked a room in general for awhile so it escape my mind to anticipate this. I didn't have enough available funds to cover the deposit and was refused a refund, the option to rebook and was (literally) left in the cold on a work related stay at the Marina Inn. The manager lacked empathy for my plight offered no remedy and got to keep my money. I feel human error is a fact of life and I acknowledge my my lack of foresight. On the other hand contingency protocols could have been developed to safeguard the consumer/customer or provide some semblance of relief. I thought I did my due diligence to cover my cost ahead of time for a seamless stay without the hassle I encountered here. Instead what happened revealed to me this particular inn's lack of value on customer satisfaction. They choose the fine print over fine people.

Far from restaurants Far from SFO International airport $75 us.Uber Three cars cancelled because it is so far. Be aware that the airport shuttle is not to SFO but to Oakland airport not clear on Expedia web site and no cancellations even though it was done 2 hours after booking and a cold stern reception with a sign that says we are not obligated to offer you services. Hotel equivalent to a motel saving grace next to the marina and a beautiful walking/exercise walkway by the bay. .Fresh fruit, oatmeal and milk available as healthy options for breakfast. Imagine if the sign says we are here to serve you bliss by the bay and an apologetic response that they are unable to cancel however offer a good supper or breakfast that cost them 25 US dollars at most and be able to “catch a raw egg” with grace knowing the few who makes these errors will still walk away satisfied or simply go pick up the stragglers from SFO and/ or fix their ads so the error rarely happens.So many options to make this error into just another adventure or blissful stay for their clients. For now expect a cold reception with a sign that they rather fight you rather than receive you with grace.

Everything was absolutely perfect! Would recommend to absolutely anyone staying in Oakland. Staff was exceptionally nice. Room was super clean. Shuttle was new, clean, and on time.

We enjoyed our quick overnight at the Marina Inn. There is a great restaurant right next door and the staff was friendly and it was clean. Also was easy to get an uber at 4:30 am for an early flight out of Oakland airport.
