nice property, Almost a 4 star
This was our second stay, and we very much liked the property. the staff is very helpful and kind, the building is go and the pool very nice. It would be a four star for the price if.. the beds were more comfortable, the wifi very unpredictable and the lighting (of things) should be looked at. Bare light bulbs, and wooden baskets as lamp shapes just don’t cut it. The breakfast served daily on the terrace is very nice, they do a great job, many choices and cooked to order.
A good hotel in a walkable location to the historic centre. The pool was fabulous and gave much needed respite from the intense heat. Breakfast was also included in my room rate. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel was a gem. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous and a wonderful place to relax after a hot day exploring Oaxaca. Close enough to walk to the main attractions but on a very quiet street away from the chaos. Clean rooms, helpful service. I would definitely stay here again.

The property itself was very nice. The pool needs more attention. It didn't look very clean or well maintained. We had an issue with a front desk staff, Diego. He booked an excursion for us only to forget to tell the excursion company which created a lot of angst for myself and my companion. So much so, that my friend had a severe panic attack due to non communication from Diego.
Other than that, the property is very well located. Walking distance to everything.
The location has great walking access to the points interest and great restaurants, The hotel was a secluded oasis in the city with a pool and surrounding plantings. All the hotel was clean and the decor was authentic Mexican. Every staff member was cheery and helpful.

Loved the pool, garden, breakfast.
Quiet area but still walkable to Zocalo and restaurants. Best taco de lechon nearby!
Loved that guests were Mexican and foreigners, not just a touristy hotel.
It’s a pretty place, the service is profesional. The pool area is beautiful to just relax and spend some time there. At night is pretty quiet so having a good sleep is possible.
Beautiful and clean. Amazing breakfast every morning.

Nice colonial hotel
A beautiful colonial hotel with nice size swimming pool and lovely terrace. Very clean and spacious room. However bed was very uncomfortable, extremely soft, pillows not comfortable. Woke up with back aches. Food portions very small, but good. The front desk ask is twice for our room name making us feel as intruders. Walking distance to the zocalo about 15 minutes.
The pool was especially an especially nice place to relax during the heat of the day. Loved having a dark room with ac and a fan. The breakfast area on the top floor is very nice. Would love to see it as a bar area again. Very handy to have a fridge in the room and to be able to order beers or wine if needed. Very convenient to walk to town and restaurants.

Disliked: Amenities
The staff was very accommodating, but the hotel had few amenities to offer. We had an efficiency apartment with so few kitchen utensils we didn’t bother stocking it with anything more than beverages, bread and cheese. At least we could boil water to use for brushing our teeth. Overall it was quaint, but there was little reason to remain in the property except to sleep and lounge by the pool.
