This is a small hotel on a main street in Ocho Rios. The hotel is very clean. The rooms seem recently updated and the bathroom is nice. The air conditioning works almost too well and the hot water is hot which is a good thing. The Jamaican breakfast was good and we had dinner there one night and it was good. We enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic Boutique Hotel

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this beautiful boutique hotel in Jamaica, and I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcomed every single person I interacted with was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Their hospitality truly made the experience feel like a home away from home. The food was another highlight of my stay every meal was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Knowing that the hotel partners with local farmers to source fresh, sustainable produce only made each bite more meaningful. It’s a wonderful feeling to support a place that supports its community in such a thoughtful way. As a Black/Jamaican owned hotel, this place also carries a deep sense of pride and authenticity that you can feel in everything from the decor to the service. I’m so glad I chose to stay here and will absolutely be returning on my next visit to Jamaica. Highly recommend!

Everything was good until the waiter decided to overcharge me at the restaurant. He decided to add an extra 25% on top of my bill for I don't know what because Im paying a service charge for eating at the restaurant according to my receipt. He could not explain what this 25% extra is for as it was not included on my receipt. Even after going back and forth the issue was still not solved. This is clearly a way of cheating guests to get the extra money.

Perfect location! Finally found a boutique hotel that was right in the middle of everything in Ochi! Walking distance to the beach (with free access) restaurants grocery stores and bars everything you could ask for. My husband is paralyzed and this is the only true place that is actually accessible with rollin showers grab bars everything that can give complete independence to persons in wheelchair. Which is a true blessing! The kitchen in our room had everything we needed and very spacious. The place is clean and spotless! Completely gated with 24 hours security. It’s definitely a safe place for all tourists. A special thank you to Melonie and Chino, who not only kept the place safe, but we’re a blessing to talk to and made our stay even more enjoyable. Front receptionist Jordan, Chris, and I forgot the other guy‘s name were wicked and made sure that we are well taken care of! Housekeeping was lovely and Raymond who worked the restaurant and the other lovely girl who again I forgot her name regretfully were amazing. They were welcoming and went out of their way to make sure to make us feel welcomed and loved. The entire Sago palm team smiles were contagious! My husband and I want to thank everyone at Sago Palm and we look forward to staying with you again next year

Overall good location, friendly staff, and clean rooms. Experienced a small incident in the parking lot. Staff had the courtesy to inform me of the accident and managed to find a solution for getting the bumper of rental car fixed, however, the solution cost me a day of vacation with the only tangible benefit being a topped off gas tank so the person who caused the accident could save a few dollars. Breakfast was good, walking distance to shops, and free access to public beach. Decent value for the money minus the accident.
