08-Flight Suite at The Castle Inn

Summary:

Inspired by the brothers in Kitty Hawk who invented human flight, it is special for anyone who has ever gone on an airplane or watched birds fly. This standard suite is located on the 2nd floor and accommodates up to 2 guests with queen bed and sitting area. This suite is located adjacent to one of our screened in porches which offers an exceptional space to enjoy the island. All suites offer hi speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs and premium linens.



The Space:

The property offers several common areas, including: reception area, parlor with a sitting area, fireplace and pool table, large front porch (new in 2026), 2 screened in porches, library (2nd floor), roof top deck, premium vending machine for 24 hour snacks, water refill station (hot and cold), kitchen and dining room. The property also offers access to the inground pool, sauna, Silver Lake dock with deck and floating dock.



Guest Access:

You'll have access to your private suite, including the bedroom and full bathroom. Enjoy amenities like air conditioning, heating, and wireless internet. You're also welcome to use the outdoor pool, and enjoy the beach, and water view. The property features a communal pool, and is near the ocean. For your convenience, bed linens and towels are provided. Please note that quiet hours are from 9 PM to 8 AM.

Nestled in the heart of Ocracoke Village, The Castle Inn offers unparalleled access to the best the island has to offer. A short walk or bike ride will take you to a variety of charming shops, local restaurants serving fresh seafood, and the iconic Ocracoke Lighthouse. Explore the village's unique character, with its art galleries, historical sites, and the beautiful beaches just a stone's throw away. Enjoy the convenience of being close to everything, from the ferry terminal to the village's vibrant social scene.



Getting Around:

The Castle Inn is right in the middle of Ocracoke Village, making it super easy to get to everything. You can just stroll or bike around the village. If you're driving, there's free street parking, just follow the rules. You'll find the Inn at 155 Silver Lake Drive, Ocracoke, North Carolina 27960, United States.



Other Things to Note:

Parking for 1 regular sized vehicle (per room) is in the shared parking lot adjacent connected to the property (Lot with pea gravel) Trailers, Boats and oversized vehicles should be parked in the NPS lot.
