6964 E. Lake Road, Ovid, NY 14521 (dead-end street)

**From Memorial Day to Labor Day the house is rented by the week, from Sunday to Sunday only. The rest of the year has a two night minimum.**

The House:
This stunning 3-level Contemporary Colonial Home is right on the water and has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.. An upscale luxury home that provides everything you will need for a relaxing, stress-free vacation. Every level has a lake view that won't disappoint.

Top level features a gorgeous Master bedroom with a King-size bed, spacious on-suite, soaking tub with a lake view, water closet, coffee/wine station, desk/work area and private balcony. Enjoy your morning coffee or sip some wine in the evening and take in all that lake life has to offer.

Middle level features a comfortable living area with a vaulted ceiling and open floor plan. The living room has a sectional sofa, 65" tv and a stone gas fireplace. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need to prepare meals with ease. The dining area has a bay window and gives you exceptional views of the lake while you dine. The table comfortably seats eight and the island has three stools. There are two bedrooms on this level; one bedroom features a Queen-size bed and the second has a Twin-size bed and a twin trundle bed. Each room has a tv and they share a full size bathroom. This level also includes a spectacular wrap-around porch. There is plenty of seating plus a large dining table. Peek around the corner and you will see a gas grill available.

Lower level suite features a private bedroom with a Queen-size bed including a tv, kitchen area, kitchen table, living area with tv, full-size sofa-sleeper, full bathroom and laundry room.

The Game Room:
The garage has been transformed into an awesome game room. Grab a partner and play pool, ping pong, air hockey, bubble hockey, foosball, darts or shuffleboard. Take a bike ride on one of the four bicycles provided. A refrigerator/freezer is also available to keep your drinks cold.

The Backyard:
Lounge on the 125' of lakefront property or hang out on the dock with lots of seating provided. An indoor storage area has everything you will need: floaties, coolers, outdoor entertaining trays, drink buckets, beach towels, children's activities, grill accessories, life jackets and many games. The stone patio area offers a large outdoor dining area with market umbrellas, custom stone gas grill and custom stone gas fire table. Not enough? There are many places to relax: lounge chairs, hammock or the Adirondack chairs surrounding the firepit. You can also bring your boat or jet ski on vacation (let me know if you intend to bring a boat or jet ski). Tie up on the dock or use the lifts.

Still want more? All this is on the East side of the lake in Ovid, where there is a panoramic view of every sunset.

The Destinations:
Your lakeside retreat is located in the heart of wine country. You'll be surrounded by wineries, breweries and cideries. Need more activities? Sampson State Park offers biking trails, hiking, swimming, a playground, arcade, movies, pontoon rentals, boat launch and boat trailer storage. They also have live music and a food truck every Friday evening. There is a walking/biking trail to Sampson State Park just past the house at the end of the road. Try your luck at Del Lago Resort/Casino. Spend the day shopping at Waterloo Premier Outlets. Bring your golf clubs and play at Bonavista State Golf Course. Don't forget all that Taughannock State Park has to offer: waterfalls, gorge trails, swimming and hiking. Ovid also has many fruit and vegetable stands. Ithaca, Watkins Glen and Geneva are only a half hour away and offer festivals, boat cruises, night life, shopping and restaurants.

The most beautiful house we’ve rented in the FLX in 7 years of visiting annually. The host thought of everything and all the little touches were greatly appreciated. What a Gem! My husband and I are frequently travelers and I can say with certainty that this was the nicest VRBO pick we have ever made. The house was beautifully located and it was impeccable. We were a group of military veterans and spouses who meet every two years in different locations as we are scattered. This by far was our favorite place. The hosts have so thoughtfully accommodated every need and more. The home is beautifully decorated and clean. The property manager was wonderful and the views are to die for. If you are going to the finger lakes, this is the place to stay!!

We were so impressed with everything about the house, the yard and dock, the amenities and games, the host communication and the location. It is perfect for families who needs lots of different activities to entertain different age groups (including a wonderful walking/running/biking trail at the end of the street). Incredible! Over and above any rental we've stayed in before. Decor is impeccable and there isn't an amenity that was overlooked. Beds and all indoor/outdoor furniture very comfortable. Kitchen stocked extremely well. Lake toys (kayaks, paddle boards, floats, etc) made water play a blast! And the view from the deck and dock cannot be beat - super peaceful and private. We loved exploring the local area as well- hiking in state parks, bike riding, boating, and wineries/breweries. We enjoyed a fantastic week with our family and hope to return again!

The home was wonderful and a perfect place for friends or families to have a great time. Game room in garage was a huge success. Everything was top notch with anything you would need for a vacation. Stairway to Haven is an outstanding, modern and pristine property with an incredible view! We celebrated my wife's birthday will close friends and enjoyed all of the fantastic amenities offered! Beautiful home in FLX!

Thank you for a great week at the Finger Lakes. The house was perfect for our family. We each felt like we had our own private section of the house the way the bedrooms are spread out. The kitchen has all the amenities one could want. And the lakeside toys were plentiful. We enjoyed some beautiful sunsets on the pier. Highly recommended.

Decadent weekend at the lake!

Our group of 8 ladies just finishing spending the weekend at beautiful Stairway to Haven! Everything we could ever want was there, beautiful views outside every floor. Even though it was a windy, rainy weekend, we made the most of the views, the game room in the garage, and simply just celebrating a bride to be ina beautiful place! Clean and thoughtful items/toiletries for use. Well stocked kitchen. Expresso machine was a treat. FYI lots of stairs!

Amazing Thanksgiving!

The house was an incredible spot to celebrate my birthday, Thanksgiving, and to make special family memories on Seneca Lake. Everything was clean, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked and the beds were out of this world comfortable. Would definitely stay in the house again and hope to!! Jill was responsive and left me the nicest birthday basket upon arrival. 10/10 would recommend!

First of all, we find communication with the owner or "manager to be of paramount importance and owner Jill deserves 5Stars for her complete and most timely response to all inquiries we made to her, no matter how inconsequential.The property itself was as expressed in the listing and better. It was very apparent that there was a great deal of thought into laying out, labeling and directions for all aspects of the comfort for our stay. The physical property was in pristine condition, and the master suite was like a spa. Kudos to Jill for the attention to detail and very successfully anticipating needs of the renter making the experience tops from start to finish. If we have occasion to return to the area, this property will be the first one for which we check availability.

Gorgeous house and location!

We stayed with another family for a long weekend and everyone absolutely loved the house. It was a wonderful stay and we all agreed we would love to come back. The house was absolutely gorgeous and extremely clean. Jill was an amazing host who thought of everything plus some extra special details! The house had everything we needed plus some extra special touches like snacks, bikes, and floaties. We also loved being so close to the park. We had so much fun! I wish we could have stayed longer.
