The room was clean, the sheets were clean, there was a fridge, the host had clearly made an intentional effort to make the place clean and inviting. The bathroom is separate, down a short hallway, but you have your own. They have built out two small rooms, and each has its own bathroom. If you want a resort, this is not it. I'll say that, but it's better. It's tucked far away in a quiet neighborhood with no tourists, and no noise. I really just wanted a place to sleep while I was out exploring during the day, and that's what this place is! One of my favorite memories from our entire trip was just getting up early and going for a walk in the neighborhood, not seeing another person, and hearing nothing but the birds and the wind. It really is tucked far away from life in the best possible way. (That being said there's a town just a couple miles up the road) If you want to feel like a traveler in Hawaii, not a tourist, this is it. There was one minor issue that popped up while we stayed, I shot the host a message and they had it solved within 20 minutes. They really are good people who care, care about the quality of their place, and act accordingly. They went out of their way to come say hello and ask if we needed anything when we showed up, and actually even let me borrow a charging cord when I left mine at home. Good people, great place, comfy bed, unbeatable price.
