I’ve always liked staying in Citizan M properties and this was a good stay. On the first day there was a strong, but intermittent, smell of rotten eggs in our room coming from the air conditioning. We went out for the evening and it was still there when we got back and was around during the night. By the morning the smell had passed so we didn’t report it to reception - which we should have done. I can see from other reviews this has been an ongoing issue for this hotel, which is a shame as it’s really good in all other areas.

Lovely spot. Small rooms, but just what I needed. The first night I slept terrible as a loud noise happened every time the air came on. I told them at the desk and they made it go away. Slept great the rest of my stay.

Let me start by saying that the staff was very kind. They were gracious and helpful. The room was horrible. It was dirty; hairs in between the mattress and window. I do believe some deep cleaning is needed. The room is TINY. The shower is not designed well and every time we took a shower a small flood occurred in the room. Every now and then we there was a horrible sewer smell that came through the vents. We will not stay here again.

It was a nice overnight stay. Walkable to various restaurants. Short ride to the Eiffel Tower and luxury shops. There was a foul stench from the drains that caused some discomfort. But the aesthetic throughout the property is artistic and very moody.

Excellent hotel. Well located. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about Paris. The rooms are small but the rooms are very nice , modern and clean . I would recommend it .

First stay with Citizen M, won’t be the last

Very friendly and helpful staff on arrival and throughout our stay. Good hotel facilities, no coffee in the room but available from their basement cafe. Room was small (as expected) but really well thought out. Being agile is a bonus for climbing across your partner into bed! We liked their concept that all rooms in the hotel are the same. Location really good, nice area and very walkable to lovely Montorgueil (and on to Notre Dame etc) First stay at this chain but will now include them in future city breaks.
