The staff were great and the use of the luggage storage before checkin was handy. The hotel was close to the station which was perfect. The room was clean, although the carpets a bit dated, the walls are quite thin and you can hear the toilet above flushing every time really loudly. But for a short overnight stay was fine and lovely restaurants for dinner close by.

Location was great right by the train station but it was busy, noisy, and bright from street lights outside. The place is old and could use updating. Our room had two bathrooms...one with the shower the other with the toilet. The sinks in both leaked and they didn't seem to care. It was only one night, so I didn't care either.

Inexpensive and basic

We only needed one night in a hotel near the Gare du Nord so we had easy access to the RER B to the airport. In that context, the hotel was just fine. Easy walk to train. The hotel seems like it's undergoing renovation. Lobby and hallway are shabby. Bed was comfortable and room and bathroom were clean. Room was very small but, again, fine for one night especially given the low price. The breakfast was not good. Recommend going to a cafe. Neighborhood is dicey especially heading toward Metro Denfert-Rochechouard. But it's walking distance to Montmatre and Sacre-Coeur. Overall: it's a very economical choice and you get what you pay for.

We got the room on the 6th floor which was a bit dated but it did the job. Cleanliness could be improved as there was someone else’s hair on the bathroom floor and blood on the door. Location was convenient to the train station.

Nice little hotel

The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station, it’s around 5mins walk. Receptions are super friendly and very helpful. Room was okay, little bit outdated but very clean. Would definitely do with a new carpet as it was stained. Beds were very comfortable and the location is perfect.

Great spot in Paris near the Gare du Nord. Very pleasant staff & clean room. Just a little tired in spots but it was more than acceptable for 2 nights with my daughter. Thank you Avalon hotel.

Feel the photos were a bit misleading, technically it is what the rooms look like but maybe 10 years ago. Quite a bit of paint is chipping, you can tell there have been many leaks as the ceiling and walls are quite stained. Staff was incredibly polite and is very convenient for the bus! The photo of the reception is not at all what the lobby looks like

Had to book this really short notice after another property let us down but staff were very helpful and accommodating. Secure luggage storage before and after your stay. Room was a little dated bit great value for money and only 300m from Gurd de Nord making travel around the city easy. Would stay again and rated the helpful staff highly.
