Just a step off the Marais

Stairs are an issue for us - not just getting the luggage in and out of the apartment, but the daily coming and going. This apartment faces onto the street at street level and is exceptionally easy to access. Be aware that you can hear people walking past the unit, as well as the occasional vehicle on this side street, but overall it was a quiet area. The host has hung a curtain across the large windows and doors that face the street which can be open or closed as you choose. The windows are frosted from about 6 feet to the floor which lets in lots of light but the glass is clear above that which can make you feel a little exposed. Roll shutters might be a better solution but the curtains work. Beds were comfortable and the water closet downstairs and shower upstairs worked fine for us and our daughter. The location in the Marais District is central to most of the key attractions in Paris and perfect for restaurants. Nice, interesting unit that we readily recommend. Don and Gabi (Canada)

Nice place

Stylish and attractive apt, and everything is new. Comfortable beds. Especially nice kitchen with cooktop, full oven, DISHWASHER, washer AND DRYER!! Nice location on a quiet street. The apt has an unusual configuration. Every room is on a different level, so young people would probably enjoy it. It means a lot of stairs for older people.
