The AC sounded like a lawnmower trying to start up, had to sleep with earplugs. The fridge sounded like it was on it’s last breath, we had to unplug it. Meanwhile the person before us meal was still in there, good job cleaning crew. The plug for the bathtub was not in the bathtub so showering meant a nice swimming pool at your feet. Could check out fast enough. When checking out we notified the front desk clerk and she did not acknowledge the frustrations, took my keys and walked away. Stay at Hotel Petersburg if you need a place to stay.

Not worth the price

Sketchy clientele. No one at the desk when I arrived. Didn’t have enough towels so I had to go down to the lobby to get more. Room was old and worn looking and the tub had black mold on all the caulking. Definitely not worth the $150 I spent on it for a couple hours sleep.

My family of 5 stayed at this hotel for 1 night on the way back home. It was the only place around that still had room available for a big family in 1 room. It looks like they are trying to paint and update some areas. We got a non smoking room but it smelled musty with a hint of cigarettes. Carpet had rips and stains. Chair cushions had stains. The room was large and it was 2 rooms (double beds in one, and the pull out couch and another tv in the other). The bathroom fan didn’t work. Lots of hallway noise from other guests until 11pm ish. We didn’t sleep well. Breakfast was not great, but not horrible for being free. Staff were friendly. If you need a place to spend a night it’s probably not a bad option but I probably wouldn’t choose to stay there again.

The check-in process was smooth. I didn’t like to lighting of the pool area. Therefore, my kids didn’t get a chance to go to the pool. Their ice machine was broken. When my husband asked for ice to the morning attendant who prepares the breakfast, she just stated no. There was not further explanation. She only stated that the front desk can provide that. Her customer service was not on par with being a customer friendly person. My kids wanted sausage or bacon in the morning. However, neither was served. The breakfast was very basic with egg and cheese omelette, ham and gravy, and biscuit.

Say in Petersburg

Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good too. The only problem during our stay occurred in the swimming pool. When I exited the pool and walked over to one of the tables I slipped and fell on the wet tile floor. I wasn’t hurt. But it made for an unpleasant experience.
