Pros: - Modern decoration in the rooms - Separate internet for each room which was usually quite fast - Lots of hot water so your shower doesn’t turn cold - Friendly lobby staff with a very simple and easy check-in. - The pool is a very cool space with cool tropical plants. Cons: - Everything in the building echoes. You can hear flip flops running up and down the stairs, guests and staff chatting, kids crying, your neighbours showering, your neighbours watching TV, the new hotel being built next door.. - NOT adult-only as stated on the booking website. - As soon as I entered the room, I was surprised to see so many dirty spots and surfaces. It wasn’t very well cleaned. The stovetop had rings of residue on it. I ran my finger on the mirror above the headboard and it was just caked with dust. Under the bed had cheerios and bits from the previous occupants. A toothpick on the shower floor made me question what all was sanitized, and there were some dead mosquitoes squished on the wall. (I don’t know how they come in but there are lots at night!) - It’s really dark in the room, it always felt like dusk. Kind of depressing!! The lights are very orange and dim, and not much natural light comes in from the balcony on the first floor. - Lots of things missing in the kitchen was inconvenient … go to use the stove and realize there’s no pots, plates but no cutlery at all, must rearrange the dining set to use it, plus had to put fresh food in freezer because of ants.

This is a great hotel for the price point. Not a fancy all inclusive resort if that is what you are looking for. Shopping is close, the beach is no more than 10 minutes walk. Awesome roof top pool! I would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Fantastic hotel! Great location! Super clean, modern and the bed is super comfy. Love the studio kitchen. Felt safe and good for families or traveling alone. Excellent restaurants and the beach within walking distance. I hope to be back in October!

We liked that the property is situated within walking distance to so many restaurants and shopping spots. The disadvantage was that the walls of the condo are fairly thin & there were some noisy tourists not being mindful of others in the condo at night.

Hotel was basic, rooms had nothing at all and they stocked one toilet paper and if the roll was half they wouldn’t replace it. We arrived to a nice room with a kitchen and the dish sponge was so old and dingy. We had to buy dish soap and a new sponge along with a dish rag. The room was quiet only after 2am till 5am. We couldn’t understand why he heard everyone in the hotel and outside. It was a fantastic location but the housekeeper just did the bare min which was making the beds. Every day we got new towels but from all the reviews I read I was shocked to get what I got from this hotel. Thank you but no thank you.

Overall, the experience is fabulous. The property is clean and well-maintained. With that being said, if you need to do laundry, an onsite facility is available. Good luck. The laundry facility is a challenge. Either you trip the circuit breakers to the room or the room floods if more than two washers are running.

Le gros WoW de cette hébergement est le rofttop! Tout simplement parfait ! Bien situé, faire attention les murs sont en carton ! C’est le plus gros défaut et c’est un gros car adieu l’intimité. Il a une porte qui sépare les chambres et c’est tellement mal conçu C’est dommage car tout le reste est très bien ! Le personnel est très bien (sauf la jeune femme au cheveux court à l’accueil, aucunement serviable) mais le reste du personnel était accueillant et bienveillant! Je regrette pas et j’ai passer un beau moment mais je retournerais pas là juste à cause de l’intimité!

Really enjoyed my stay at Sofia. It’s right off 30th so not in the heart of the tourist area, but close enough to walk to it. Walmart is about a 10 min walk, as is 5th st and the bus station. Rooms are spacious, and pool area is nice with a good view of the sea. Staff is friendly. Would recommend.
