Welcome to Great Dane House, the ultimate beachside escape just moments from Point Lonsdale’s beachfront. This beautifully designed two-storey, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is a unique blend of coastal relaxation, considered design, and curated style.

Created by Anton Assaad, founder of Great Dane Furniture, and his long-time creative director partner, the home is a deeply personal project shaped by over 21 years of collecting. Every space tells a story, with carefully chosen pieces from Great Dane Furniture alongside vintage and international design treasures.

Inside, you’ll find an eclectic and harmonious mix of furnishings and materials, including Iittala glassware, vintage Japanese ceramics, a Belgian fireplace, and Persian rugs. Signature pieces include a Børge Mogensen 2213 sofa, a Hans Wegner Flag Halyard chair, and a Patricia Urquiola bathtub positioned to capture views through the surrounding Moona trees.

The interiors are layered with warm, contrasting textures—cement sheet bathrooms, timber panelling, and softly filtered light through sheer curtains. Thoughtful details continue throughout, with English brass and sage bathroom fittings, Arne Jacobsen tapware, and an illuminated Vitruvio mirror creating a refined yet relaxed feel.

The master bedroom is a standout retreat, featuring a custom Gemla Fabrik bedhead, a luxurious Hästens bed, Beni Ourain linen, and a bespoke Antrei Hartikainen cabinet. Designed as a true sanctuary, it offers a calm and restful escape.

Set among coastal dunes and native Moona trees, Great Dane House feels both intimate and inspiring—a carefully curated home designed for slow living, comfort, and connection to place.
