The room offered a nice view and was spacious and clean. However, there were a few issues during our stay. The TV was not a smart TV, and the air conditioning unit had an auto-lock feature that prevented a constant fan setting and would turn off even when the room still felt warm. We reported this to the front desk, and while they initially said it could be fixed, the handyman who came up said he was unable to resolve the issue. Additionally, our room was only cleaned once during our 3-night stay, despite us being out of the room for 5–6 hours each morning. On a positive note, the breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options. However, the surrounding area had a significant number of homeless encampments, which made walking around at night feel unsafe.

The property is basically old but well located in walkable distance to port locations and attractions. Parking was included in the price of the room, a plus. Staff was courteous and helpful. The bed was comfortable but we had to ask for second chair to be brought up so one of us didn’t have to sit on the bed. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Too expensive. It’s ridiculous that hotels in Portland Maine are $600-900 a night. I can stay in Boston or Vegas for cheaper. If this keeps up good luck having anyone come to Portland to stay.
