Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Its more akin to a hostel than a hotel but its kept clean the rooms are small and dont yave bathrooms
Staff, bed comfort, bedroom, amenities, bathrooms were all nice.
However there is a lot of noise from outside (there was a loud party on the next building's roof, just 1 floor under our window -on our night of arrival until 11pm)
Also the air conditioning unit in the bedroom was very loud.
No microwave in the room.
I would come back though as it is very well situated and close to everything downtown Portland.
We got the standard queen room with bathroom. The bathroom has a sliding door which doesn't provide any privacy. If you are traveling with your spouse be cautious!! Also the location might get too loud in night time but the hotel is at a very good location in Portland.
Great location, lovely old building. Absolutely love the keyless entry and locked front door after hours! Clean and comfy room was perfect for our weekend downtown- walkable to everything you’d want to explore. Beds were plush and staff were friendly. 10/10 would stay again.
Stayed two nights for a mom getaway. Location very convenient for takeout and activities. Very clean and great value for the price if you don't mind doing all everything online (check-in/ out, etc). Room right by streetcar and lots of loud outdoor events, definitely slept with earplugs like other guests mentioned. Shower not quite hot enough but other than that everything was wonderful. Will definitely be staying here again!
Great stay in a hotel with tons of character. Tastefully decorated, cosy spaces and central location in Portland. Lots of cafes, bakeries and restaurants nearby for meals, starting with your morning coffee. I will stay in a Kasa Living hotel anytime.
Loved it, great decor great location, felt safe inside, coffee options, great tv in the room, very close to Powell’s world of books, did not feel really safe the homeless community everywhere in the streets of Portland
Rooms are too small for four ppl n their luggage. The ac unit stopped working at one point in AM like was on a timer to encourage us to get out. The fridge did not work.
But the beds were fine and the pillows weee awesome.
Our room was fantastic. My husband was in love with the record player. The room was huge and could've slept a lot of people. The location was super convenient too.
The vibe was WEIRD and unfriendly. Area was dirty and door was not always locked, people were able to follow me in and since there’s limited desk staff and they basically ignore guests, I felt it was unsafe, noisy and then unhealthy! No housekeeping despite a 7-day stay. Went without toilet paper and tissues as management texted that they don’t restock! Annoying texting back and forth to finally get toilet paper, a necessity not an amenity:They were ridiculously obtuse and rude. They never took responsibility for not providing an extra roll of toilet paper in the room, it was the worst hotel experience I have ever had! I have PTSD regarding toilet paper now! I stayed in the room as little as possible and would never stay there again. AWFUL staff and accommodation!
Absolutely loved our stay here! The room was immaculate and comfortable and was a great place to crash for the night.
There's a parking garage close by, and lots of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. If homeless people make you uncomfortable, you might not enjoy walking around, but we've never encountered anyone threatening downtown.
If I were to ding the property at all, it would be over the cleanliness of the elevator; however, even that wasn't bad. The little cafe that's attached has a good morning food selection (lots of pastries and breakfast sandwiches), and overall the place was pretty quiet. Since it is downtown, it's never completely still, but we've stayed in louder places.
