Fantastic historic1-bedroom condo in the middle of downtown Portsmouth close to all Portsmouth has to offer. Sleeps up to 4 with bedroom, and queen sleeper sofa in living room. Newly renovated. Enjoy relaxing in this unique and charming space with exposed brick and beams. Full kitchen, eat in or go out! Shops and restaurants at your doorstep. Walking distance to everything downtown Portsmouth has to offer.

Location was everything! Enjoyed all the shops and many restaurants. My spouse cannot eat gluten which typically limits his menu choices but Portsmouth eateries were exceptionally aware and accommodating to his dietary needs. Beautiful fall foliage was a bonus!

We enjoyed the space. The stairs to the space a bit steeper than we’re used to but would have been no problem if lighting was better there. The space is in a fabulous location. We were able to get to so much within walking distance! The bed was comfy. It was great to have the w/d combo. (Someone may want to check the balance on that- loud heavy vibrations during spin)Overall a great place but retired/seniors beware the steep stairs and the high step into and out of the shower.

I would give the property 4 1/2 stars - very clean, lots of accoutrements for cooking, comfortable bed and bathroom. Great location for two people looking to explore downtown Portsmouth - literally on one of the main streets adjacent to the waterfront, and one to two blocks from all the shops and restaurants you could desire. My wife and I had a great time exploring Portsmouth (lots of history, including large houses where historical figures lived or stayed during revolutionary times).The only reason to subtract 1/2 star was the parking situation. Street parking was available if you got up early enough, but between 9am and 8pm there are significant charges for parking on the streets. The parking garages also required between 30 and 40/ day if the car was left there (each had hourly charges that accrued during the night), so there will be some added expense to account for with this property. Other than that, the apartment was great for a single couple - not sure you could have many more than two people. And be a bit careful on the stairs from the street to the first level - they are a bit dark (not the host's fault) and they are narrow; my wife and I (both in 60s) made sure to hang on to the hand rails whenever going up or down. All in all, we would recommend this to a couple looking to vacation in Portsmouth, with the slight caveats mentioned above.

11 night stay… 1 great time!

We had a great time in Portsmouth over the 4th of July. The condo was cozy, very clean, well appointed, and very comfortable for the two of us. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything we needed. The location was great - close to everything yet on a quiet part of Market St. Our only wish was that was more storage space for our clothes. But overall, we’d highly recommend this rental!

You couldn’t ask for a better VRBO experience. Perfectly located next to all the shopping and restaurants. Steps away from waterfront dining. I would definitely use again when back in Portsmouth.

Back to UNH Winter Celebration

Had a couple itinerary changes and Todd was super accommodating about the changes. He had some good tips about what to do while we were there. Location is great, short walk to restaurants and shops, hope to return when we are able to stay longer. First experience with beautiful Portamouth, won't be the last! In fact we arw back in Portsmouth as I write this.

Excellent!

We loved our winter stay at this cozy, comfortable apartment in downtown Portsmouth. It combines the old character of the historic building with all new and modern finishes. We had easy walking access to all the shops and restaurants. Many thoughtful touches by the owner for guests. Would definitely stay again.

A wonderful weekend in Portsmouth

We loved staying in Todd’s adorable place! It was spotless and had everything we needed. Right in the middle of everything! We parked the car and walked everywhere all weekend. Todd was a great host, very prompt in answering any questions. Highly recommend!

Weekend Wedding

We visited Portsmouth for a family wedding and couldn’t have found a more perfect place to stay. Beautiful property right smack dab in the middle of everything the city has to offer. We did take advantage of another review which mentioned Parrot Avenue free parking which was a quick walk away.

Awesome Place!

Todd & Tara’s place was absolutely perfect! Short walking distance to all that Portsmouth has to offer. Convenient to coastal Maine, as well. We had all the amenities one could need ~ even yummy ice cream treats in the freezer! We would definitely stay again!
