Nice Apartment and Great Location

My partner and I stayed for a month. This one bedroom apartment is comfortably furnished and is perfect for an individual, a couple or a family with one child. The kitchen is supplied with everything you need to cook. We generally prepared two meals a day. We had weekly housekeeping. They changed all the bedding and towels, cleaned the apartment and restocked garbage/compost bags, toilet paper, dishwasher and laundry detergent, etc. The neighborhood is a great location. The cluster of apartment s are multi generational. There's a playground less than a minute walk. From the apartment it is an easy walk to Old Portsmouth, the dock yards where you can tour the Rose Mary, Victory,, etc. The Guildhall and Portsmouth Museum are also a short walk. The ferry to the Isle of Wight, a car/walk-on ferry, is a five minute drive or a 20 minutes walk. Being in Portsmouth for the length of time we had, having a car with a parking spot at the apartment simplified our plans for shopping and traveling outside the city. There is so much to see and do in the region. We enjoyed not only the city, but the coastal paths, hiking in the forests, visiting villages and major cathedrals, like the one in Winchester. The property managers were not only very responsive when we had a problem, they were very nice people, too. The problems we experienced were due to the way things are done in the UK compared to North America, i.e., operating the hot water heater, the radiators, washing machine and garbage and recycling. If we return to Portsmouth, we wouldn't hesitate to rent this apartment again, or another that was managed by Ashura and Jacob.

This is a gem

Well appointed with good quality furniture. The appartment is larger than it appears in the photographs and is in a great quiet location, just minutes walk from portsmouth Harbour, Gunwharf Quays and The Historic Dockyard. Some very nice complimentary cosmetics ans consumables were left for us, which was appreciated. Could do with an information pack with local information and attractions. We did have some issues with the TV, some freeview channels were missing and the picture broke up at times but this was probably due to localised thunderstorms. Overall, this is a really good property for a Portsmouth stay.
