This second story, full floor, Bed & Breakfast suite has a large private bathroom, luxurious king-size bed and a private walk out balcony, overlooking the water. We are located on Prince Edward County‘s popular Westlake and will accommodate two people max, ( the main floor suite is rented separately, ) This waterfront property is facing the beach at Sand Dunes and right next-door to Isaiah Tubbs Resort. The backyard has a shallow, sandy waterfront, boasting beautiful sunsets that can be enjoyed on the walk out balcony from your room, the back deck with a propane fire pit, in the gazebo, on the dock or by the waters edge with a wood fire.
We are within walking distance to Sand and Pearl restaurant, the restaurant at Isaiah Tubbs's Resort, Dune Hopper Brewery, and a very short drive to the Tambo snack bar and convenience store. Westlake Watersports is a 2 minute drive, where you can rent jet skis, pontoon boats, or flyboards.
The Sandbanks Dunes Beach and Sandbanks Outlet beach are both within 2.5 km and beach/ park passes are provided free for our guests. The living room, all outdoor spaces and continental breakfast are shared with hosts and occasionally, other guests

The water is very shallow so there is no jumping or diving from any water access areas. Any water usage, is at your own risk, there are no lifeguards.

Hosts provide Beach beach/Park passes that must be returned at end of stay. Failure to do so, will result in a $100 fee

From the moment we arrived at Julie and Al’s B&B, we felt instantly welcomed. Their warmth and hospitality made the place feel like home. The lake view was absolutely breathtaking, and the entire home was spotless. Our room had a private balcony where we enjoyed stunning sunsets, and the sunroom by the lake quickly became our favorite spot. Every detail, from the comfortable mattress to the thoughtful addition of a bidet, showed how much care the hosts put into their guests’ experience. The coffee and breakfast each morning were delicious. Although we had plans to explore the city, we found ourselves spending most of our time at the B&B because it was just so peaceful and beautiful. Thank you, Julie and Al, for the unforgettable stay. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a truly wonderful stay at West Lake in Sandbanks with Julie and Al. The location is excellent, with a breathtaking view that instantly sets the tone for a relaxing getaway. The space was spotless, bright, private, and equipped with all the right amenities — everything we could have hoped for.From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and completely at home. Julie and Al are incredibly kind, generous, and positive hosts who go above and beyond to make their guests comfortable. Each morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, which always included a baked good, fresh fruit, yogurt, a variety of breads, and eggs — such a thoughtful touch that made our mornings special.This is truly the perfect spot for couples looking to relax, recharge, and take in the stunning view. Loved this place. The view was amazing. Our room was spacious and beautiful. They had everything for you . 3 different decks with awesome views. Kayaking . Outside solarium with blankets, towels. Heater and Tv. Julie and Al were awesome hosts. Gave us lots of great information for restaurants, biking trails, and other places to go to. We definitely will be back.

We really liked Al and Julie and we love the property and location. It’s a beautiful newly renovated spacious house with a lovely deck outside and a dock on the water with Adirondack chairs. Absolutely lovely and enjoyable to stay at this property. We would highly recommend it to anyone.

Sunset Escape is truly a hidden gem on Westlake. If you're looking for a quiet, cozy, and elegant spot to unwind in Prince Edward County, this is the ideal place. Julie and Al are incredibly kind and attentive hosts who made us feel completely at home. The property is simply wonderful: it features excellent amenities, including a spacious upper suite with both a fan and air conditioning, a high-quality king-size bed that ensures a restful sleep, a private balcony with two Muskoka chairs, and a stunning view of the lake, perfect for enjoying the incredible sunsets. The suite also has a well-appointed bathroom with a shower and a bathtub, a high-tech toilet, dual sinks, and a hair dryer. Breakfast was really nice, including multiple options of delicious food, coffee, tea and juice. The house is well-equipped with multiple fire pits, two kayaks, life jackets, a cozy gazebo, and a barbecue area. Julie and Al also provided a seasonal pass to the provincial park, which was very convenient for beach visits. They also shared fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and wineries. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

This is one of the best place I had a chance to stay, the owner are wonderful, they are concerned about your well being, if they can't find what you are looking, they can guide you! The property is like a 5 star suite in an hotel! You can enjoy the sunset like you own it. In front of a fire wood place or even from your own balcony! You want to move, kayak and paddling board are available, if you bring your bike you have a lots of place to visit!

A charming B&B owned by a wonderfully friendly couple. The property offers a stunning view of West Lake, which was a delight to wake up to each morning. The breakfast was delicious and the amenities were top-notch. The hosts were incredibly caring and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We felt right at home and can't wait to return. Highly recommended!

A hidden gem

I stayed 4 nights and would highly recommend this place. Julie and Al are wonderful people and awesome hosts. The place is clean, well renovated and styled and the view on the lake is absolutely amazing! The pictures do not do justice to how beautiful and peaceful this place is. You can view beautiful sunsets, kayak to the dunes and the place is not far from the Provincial park and beaches. I will definitely come back if I happen to visit Sandbanks again and will recommend this spot to all my friends and family.
