The space was really great. The view is unbeatable and the layout makes it really feel spacious and private. Pool was fantastic.I only rate 4 instead of 5 because of the quality of the utilities, which is more of a local issue. Lights would flicker a bit and the outlets on the wall were only sometimes functional. It also had an unpleasant smell in the kitchen (plumbing seems to be an issue in most places in PVR), but that could be easily remedied by opening the amazing sliding doors.

Celebrated a friend's 25th wedding anniversary for just under a week at Casa Hortencias. The house is just above the Zona Romantica and oldtown Puerto Vallarta. It is very clean and all appliances work perfectly. Well stocked kitchen, 3 bedrooms (2 with attached bathrooms). Beds were very firm which is the norm for Mexico, but the AC's all work great and keep the house cool. Rooftop pool and lounge area is definitely the gem of the property. Pool is heated and perfect for late night lounging with your group/family. Property manager is very attentive, communicated regularly and readily available. I would definitely stay again, great for mature adult groups looking for a clean comfortable house to relax in but be close to Zona Romantica.
