It was so awesome to have the pools and beach right outside the window. The Kids Club was great as well. The staff were all friendly and kind. It was nice to have different foods at the buffet and to have the snack area with hamburgers and hotdogs. Thank you!

I loved that this property was ocean front, and the beach was very clean and some what secluded. The one thing that needs a lot of work is the food. I never expect resort food to be good; but this was the absolute worse I’ve ever had from any resort. The only thing I was able to enjoy was the omelettes in the morning.

Language barrier was tough. Staff tried to be helpful at times, but i found lots of times someone didnt understand what i was saying so they just defered me to someone else. Also got overcharged at the souvenir store by $800 canadian for a bag of chips and chocolate bars. Wouldnt go back. Food selection was tough for having young kids with us and restaurants not opening for lunch until 1pm and dinner until 630pm was also tough on young kids

Grand Park Royal had great service but we couldnt overcome the sub par food and very noisy as there was no real seperation between Adults and kids areas. We will not go back.

The beach was nice, small but nice. Although it didn’t get good sun till late in the afternoon. The rooftop lounge and pool helped. The food was good, but it would have been nice to have one more option. Some restaurants were only open for dinner and the snack bar by the pool had the same thing every day. Hot dogs and burgers.

I had a great experience with Park Royal Cancun so I trusted this brand. My mistake. This resort felt very inefficient. The food choices were horrible. They do not require reservations(or accept them) but there is frequently 1-2 hour waits to sit and eat at the ala carts. The pools are freezing and the beach, although beautiful is small. Because of the geography neither the pool or the beach recieves sun until late afteroon. Although there is a policy about saving chairs it is not enforced. The rooftop pool is fantastic but covered so again.. no sun. There is very little waitstaff working the pool areas offering beverages etc. There IS a bus stop right outside the resort making escape very easy and inexpensive. The city was a saving grace. The views from this location are exquisite. We were able to spot whales from our balcony regularly. If they could get their food service and options up to par this place would be worth a return (if you're scared of skin cancer) Will absolutely return to Puerto Vallarta. Will NOT return to Park Royal PV

Overall stay is good , just food quality is 3 out of 5 . Restaurant’ wait time was over 2 hours every night with very little options to go to . Most of the time the buffet was the only option .snack bar food was always cold , very stale fries and wouldn’t make fresh ones until stale ones were finished . Staff is friendly until they try to convince you for a timeshare/ vacation club that’s when they get pretty persistent , but overall staff is pretty helpful .

We arrived late evening and the front desk reception, Brenda, was so welcoming. The ambience was really nice with the midnight breeze through the open air lobby. Initial impression was excellent. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable although hard. It was quiet but far from "sound proof". We had a Premium King room. Room service was a real let down, cold fries and club sandwich we didn't eat much of. The ocean view and marine life made it a joy to just sit on the deck and relax. The balcony light on bright all evening until 10:30pm really took away from the enjoyment of using it in the evening. Restaurant food was okay. Overall selection was good and the fruits were fresh. The rooftop lunch was an exception, the food was really good. The mahi mahi tostads where very refreshing. Our servers were good at their job but only Orlando, the outside patio breakfast server made us feel appreciated by engaging with us a bit. Overall we had a great relaxing week. This is not a 5 star resort. It is a solid 3 star. The attention to detail is lacking and the quality just isn’t 5 star. That being said, it is a nice all inclusive resort with a great beach. If you are traveling without children we recommend getting access to to the rooftop deck. It was nice and quiet with lots of sun and available shade. Would we go back? Yes, if we were in the area again.

Poor location, food terrible, would not recommend this hotel. Staff was great, however all entertainment in Spanish only. View was great, whales daily, however, nothing much to do, poor walking trails to get anywhere, unless you had access to 12th floor, not much to do.

The worst part about the resort is that there is way too much shade by the pool area during the entire day. I was freezing and did not get to enjoy the pool or swim up bar. Beach was really nice. It’s a smaller resort with limited activities.

This facility is extremely run down, the restaurants are terrible, the employees harassed us during our stay! Our son helped us with our bags to our rooms and shortly after employees came to the room saying we had more guests in here! They tried intimidating us and made our stay worse. This place is the equivalent to a Motel 6

Check in was long and the front desk did not speak English but that’s my fault I should know the native language. It took 4 tries to get into our room without success. We were transferred into another room. I’ve stayed in Neuvo Vallarta and expected the ocean to look brown and mucky. Not here. The water is blue but the current is strong. There are no beach chairs but you’re literally steps away from the ocean. It was around $400 pesos to cab it into the romatica and malecon zone. However there is a bus stop outside for 10 pesos. It’s far out of the city but we didn’t mind because it was quieter as we had our 3 children. We did spend a lot of time out of the resort though. The food was ok. The omelet station was always good. The pools are cold until the afternoon because of the sun. Overall I’d stay here again.

Pros: the grounds are clean and appreciated the most clean view and room balcony. Cons: Check in and check out lines move slow and feel disordered with no clear indication as to which desk are in services. I did not appreciate feeling bombarded by time share approach at check in masked as a greeting. Aside from the Italian and Frida dinner options the food quality was below average. Definitely not a luxury resort as advertised.
