We had a great stay at this property. The staff were amazing and welcoming. We would stay here again. However, there could be a better process in place for people arriving early before check in time. Maybe the staff could suggest dropping off the luggage and some specific places to visit in the town before check in time. Other than that, everything was great. The food was also delicious!

This is one of the older properties which I love. It is on the beach with the historical cooling shape that allows the ocean breezes to drift though. There is a the grass roofed beach cabana for that authentic beach escape. The location is close to the airport and activities so it saves on taxi fees, as well as having easy access to the bus system. The room was clean, bed comfortable with daily maid service. Loved the towels here- nice and big! All of the staff were very kind and helpful. There is daily entertainment and they even had a pizza place. I really enjoyed the tile and marble with glass showers which were quite roomy. Not your glitzy, Vegas style place, just a genuine Puerto Vallarta taste of its amazing people and adventures.

Wonderful relaxing place with wonderful, hard working people. They charged me for four people in three rooms, however, instead of three people in three rooms. I was told I would not be charged for fourth person when I checked in, and the manager promised to rectify situation. Never happened. A hassle, don’t believe what they tell you, but otherwise a wonderful place.

The resort is fairly decent overall, with clean facilities and a relaxing atmosphere. However, the entertainment options are quite limited, so there isn’t much to do in the evenings or during downtime. The biggest downside was the food—both the quality and variety were disappointing. If dining and activities are a priority for your stay, you might want to consider other options.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel this past week. We chose it because it was cheaper than most all inclusive hotels around the area. But let me tell you, when they say you get what you pay for, this place is at the top of that line. We arrived and the personnel at the check in were dry, not very welcoming. Once we got to our room, we noticed how old and ill maintained the room was. We got a double bed room & it had a kitchen with just a sink a coffee machine and no fridge. The restrooms were small and the tub was very old and the paint on it was chipped. The water pressure was little to none & the lever was broken as well. We then noticed that we had no wifi in the room & when we tried to search for a connection, nothing popped up. So we went down to the reception area to ask why the wifi wouldn’t connect, they said they had spotty wifi and it we wouldn’t be able to get it in the rooms only in the lobby area or pool area. That’s insane! How is it that they can’t get full WiFi in a hotel that charges over a grand to stay there! So we asked for a room closer to the lobby & still no wifi! The food was low quality, the drinks were okay. The ambience was not fun at all! They had little to no entertainment. Then one day we noticed one of the maintenance staff took a chocolate bar I had left out before we left! That right there had me so mad! Never had I experienced that! If you’re looking to have a bad time this is your spot. But I would pay a little more next time.

Staff was amazing especially the boys in the Sky Lounge, never left our drinks empty and very funny and kind. Good selection of drinks and food. Amazing stay and good for couples and families! Massages were fairly inexpensive and very relaxing! Would recommend to anyone wanting a fun and quiet resort.

This was a smaller resort but we enjoyed it because we never waited in line for food and it was fresh and very good options. The beach area is beautiful and the main area/pool is clean. Authentic Mexican experience. Not super fancy but comfortable and enjoyable.

Stayed here for my birthday with a couple of my friends and we loved it! Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful, room was clean and well air conditioned, pools, bars, and restaurants were great too. It wasn't the most upscale resort on the beach, but it was affordable, family friendly, had lots of activities and was perfect for us! This was my first time visiting Mexico so I was going in a little blind(and not sure if I was going to get scammed lol), so for anyone else who's not sure, I would definitely recommend Plaza Pelicanos, we loved it!!

My room had an unpleasant smell, and the bathroom fan was broken. If we were lucky, it was the last place to be cleaned. The tub had peeling paint and didn’t drain properly, so we always ended up showering with the tub overflowing. The snacks were repetitive, and the food wasn’t very kid-friendly.

Please don't choose this hotel. I visited Puerto Vallarta for a trip, but I had a bad experience at this hotel. The hotel ruined the last day of my trip. The room conditions were terrible and horrible. The hotel should ensure proper service before offering it to guests, this is not the customer’s responsibility. Also, CS employee was kind, but the receptionist was very rude.

Nah, it was ok. Not sure I will stay again.

It was ok to stay, and I cannot call it pleasant. Firstly, we were assigned the wrong room on arrival, a grade lower than booked. When brought to their attention, I was told a lot of contradictory information resulting in a sentence: "We are fully booked, there is nothing we can do. Contact your reservation agent." No apologies, no compliments or rectification. Drinks were very limited so I had to choose between the bad and the worse. Sky Lounge was a waste of nice space: boring, limited drinks, and not-working jacuzzi. Food was quite basic, so we had half of our meals outside the hotel. Beach/pool lounge chairs all had towels on them from early morning with some being empty the whole day so you may have no any if you are not rude (I laid on one and no one came to claim the ones next to me for at least 6 hours). And the Karaoke night was a disgrace... Good points: the room was clean and of a good size with a comfy bed, a nice bathroom. A couple of shows were nice: with three singers and with the pre-columbian theme was amazing. Well, I was attracted by the price and got what I paid for. I'd rather pay more to stay elsewhere.
