This is my second time at this hotel and I stayed almost 2 weeks. It’s safe and is kept clean. The night shows are entertaining as well as the Beach Party. The only down side, which I have already mentioned to the hotel last year, but I haven’t seen any improvement in that area this year, is the fact that they cook too many foods with “cooking wine”, which many people cannot consume. I wrote about this issue in last year’s review, and honestly, it has gotten worse. Just an example, there is no need to cook Paella with wine, even the Spaniards who invented it, don’t do that !! Yes, there are several options of foods, but at the same time, wine is present in too many of them, much more than last year. That is not the case in many other hotels I have been to in Punta Cana. I’ll give this hotel one more opportunity to adjust the “wine in most foods” situation and I’ll go back again, but if the problem persists, it’ll be my 3rd and last time. Visiting the DR would be better in winter time in the future, because with the seaweeds’ problem, it’s impossible to swim in the Caribbean Sea in the summer. Unfortunately , global warming has ruined many beaches, not only in the DR, but also in many other parts of the world.

This resort was a nightmare. Wrong room, stained bedding (twice), cockroaches, flooding bathroom, clogged toilet, and a horrible smell that never went away. Staff were rude, unhelpful, and every request took over an hour—yet they constantly harassed guests for tips, even with terrible service. My birthday trip was ruined, and I would never recommend Serenade Punta Cana to anyone.

This is our third time visiting this resort and unfortunately it wasn’t like the others. Our check-in time was for 3 and we were asked to wait another 20 minutes which wasn’t a problem. However, by 3:30 we went to our room and it was not completely ready; the beds were not made and the floors looked dirty. The staff that was cleaning the room was upset we wouldn’t go wait in the room while they finished cleaning and they told us the room was ready after they made the bed however I had to ask for the floors to be mopped. Towels were changed everyday however, they were stained. Some of the staff were not pleasant such as the cafe and bars. We felt like we were burdening them when asking for a beverage. We were given a fruit plate and a bottle of champagne for the checking-in mishap which we appreciated. We just didn’t not feel the quality of service was like the other times we visited which was less than a year ago.

I loved the staff here. I loved that there was many options and also that even though the hotel was not HUGE, it was walkable and you weren’t dying with every step in the heat. My family loved the slides and pools. We also loved the buffet options and the coffe shop which was always open. Loved the flexibility!!!! Would most definitely return!

We had a suite, front room ac was not working. Told the front desk twice during our 5 day stay and was never fixed. We had friends in another building and their ac didn’t work at all, had to switch rooms the second night. One night we went to shower and after about 3 minutes there was literally no water pressure hot/cold so I went to call the front desk and the phone didn’t work. Tried to call via cell phone and when I pressed 1 for English, it hung up…. Had to walk all the way to building 1 to the front desk. Ate at Kyoto and I asked the waiter to go ahead and take everyone else’s order (party of 8), he insisted on taking my order first so he just stood and waited. I rushed to pick something as to not hold everyone up, he took the order standing next to me the whole time which caused him to get orders at the other end wrong…. At the kids table, they waited and waited then never got their drinks…. With all that, I’m not holding against them the fact that the beach was unusable with the amount of seaweed on the shore which I choke up as an act of nature… they had a crew and a bulldozer to clear the seaweed. There were moments that the air wreaked of sewage but I don’t know if it was a plumbing issue or from stirring up the seaweed. My honest star rating for this place would be 3 1/2- 4 stars at best only because of the friendly staff.

This resort is definitely NOT a 4.5 starr property like they advertise. If you upgrade your stay to a perferred customers, its sub oar even with the upgrade. Food was less than average. The room... Perfect. Huge, quiet and always cool. Beach was awful. Dirty and can't walk far because of a marina, which made the water oily and the air stinky.

The facilities were clean and you can see that staff took very good care of the property. However, the beach was dirty lots and lots of seaweed you can tell that they were trying to clean it up, but it just kept on coming. Our room was beautiful but towels were dingy, you had to literally beg door wash cloths and floor mats. Staff had a that were dingy and looked dirty. Our room door didn’t lock we put in a ticket and they didn’t come to fix it until the day before we left, which was pointless since we were there for 10 days. The entertainment staff were great but the bartenders were horrible by the pool, they often ignored non Spanish speaking patrons and kids. The staff in the lobby and at the coffee so we’re kind. Spoken to other visitors who came when they were open and some of the deterioration. We would not go back but my kids had a good time.

The staff is absolutely horrible. They argue with you back and forth on simple requests, that frankly aren't really up for debate. The rooms constantly flood with the showers and clogged toilets so you find yourself constantly using towels to dry it up. would requesting more towels not be the logical solution? And the clogged toilets that literally have nothing thrown in them, I asked them at 9pm before dinner please can someone come and fix this. I then finish dinner with my family around 11:30 and it's STILL not fixed. They keep saying they're on it RIGHT now and it's not right now. My family is with small children, were on a vacation celebrating a milestone birthday. We chose to spend our hard earned THOUSANDS on about 5 rooms and this is how they treat us? And their BS apology? A bottle of champagne and strawberries. Dude it's ALL INCLUSIVE. I'm eating and drinking for free why would I want more food and drink. They apparently down own their own spa so they couldn't give us a spa package. Apparently it was the end of times when asking to change our room since two of our rooms kept clogging and the shower handle popped off. And then, all we ended up asking for is transportation to the local mall because my mother wanted to go shopping that's it. We specifically said not to send us on a tourist trap where it's some lame tour and overpriced gift shop. Only for them to send us on exactly that. My mother literally cried on her birthday. Also Rommi and Carlos at front desk SUCK
