Relax at Pier Sands Casita#1, Min Walk From Beach!

This duplex is a 1 minute walk from the warm beaches of Puntarenas and a 5 minute walk from the Tourist Promenade (El Paseo de los Turistas). It is the "Perfect Retreat" for a couple or a small family. Very close to restaurants, bars, live music, supermarkets and other services. Enjoy the natural flora and fauna of the rainforest, including iguanas, tropical birds and an indoor aquarium. There are plenty of attractions nearby including small cruises, carnivals and night clubbing. This home is a SELF CHECK-IN.

This intimate home has a bunk bed [two single beds], a full-size bed and a single bed, as well as 2 sofas, a breakfast table, tile floors, a cozy patio, washer and dryer and a small but well equipped kitchen. The house is equipped with an A/C unit, but there are also multiple fans throughout the home, which create a cool, breezy and tropical environment.

*Notice -Although the house does not have hot water, the showers have tepid water and are refreshing when returning from a hot or humid day.

The house is 5 minutes walking distance from the closest bus terminal, and has easy access transportation to buses, taxis and ferries.

Puntarenas can be hot, rainy and humid. And though we clean out drainages and fumigate regularly, please expect to run in to occasional outdoor pests like crickets, water bugs, lizards, geckos, ants and roaches, etc. They may attempt to enter the house through the patio (where the bathroom is located) so please be advised to keep the back windows and patio door closed as much as possible to avoid their presence in the casita.

No Garage: Please be aware the house does not have a garage. However, guests can park right in front of the home. It’s a friendly neighborhood.

For Secured Parking: There is a car wash (200 meters West of the AirBnb) on Avenida 2 and in between Calle 16 & Calle 14 that will rent secured parking for 2000 colones (about $3) a night.

*Notice: this house is equipped with video surveillance inside the gated entrance for security.

**There is bedspace for only 5 guests. We allow up to 8 guests. If your party is larger than 5 people, you will need to bring an air mattress or provide your own bedding accommodations.

***Notice for guests: It’s an additional $10 for cleaning for each week (7 days) booked.

****PETS: Pets are welcome! It is a non-refundable fee of $5 per pet.

This house is gated and is equipped with a surveillance camera in the entrance and with a lockbox for retrieving the house key. There is available street parking infront of the home and locals describe the area as safe to park. However, private parking can be requested and arranged. It is $5/night.

One minute away is the beach front. It’s furnished with tables and chairs, hammocks and benches for everyone to enjoy. Bring a towel and a drink and make yourself at home!

By booking your stay at this duplex, you fully agree to abide by the following house rules:

1. Do not attempt to enter premises before 2PM. If your arrival was sooner than expected, please contact us to ensure there are not already guests present. We may be able to accommodate you.
2. Please do not dispose of toilet paper, tampons or food down the toilet as it will clog it up immediately. Use the trashcan.
3. Absolutely no smoking inside the house. The front gated area is okay, keep the front door closed though while you smoke.
4. Maintain the house as tidy as you found it.
5. This house is equipped with video surveillance inside the gated entryway for protection.
6. Please report any additional guests not included in your original booking. It is a $5 charge per guest after 5 guests.
7. Please ensure windows and doors are closed when using A/C and turn off A/C when not in the home. Sometimes the use of fans is sufficient.

Please ensure the following when you checkout:
1. Gather all personal belongings
2. Close/lock all windows and doors
3. Turn of A/C
4. Turn off all fans
5. Turn off all lights
6. Make sure all equipment is turned off and/or stored (tv, stove, coffee pot, etc)
7. Return key to lock after you lock up the front door and the front gate.
