Wonderful Stay, beautiful

Gorgeous hotel, easy check in eith everything explained to us. From restaurant hours, sauna hours and all the in between details. Was very surprised 27/7 gym and sauna. Definitely a lovely surprise. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

The best place to stay in downtown Racine. Location is perfect with bars and restaurants all around. Kouzena 220 restaurant has the BEST Greek food I've ever had and its right around the corner on 6th street. Had a couple drinks at Blue Rock Lounge which was fun. We will only stay here when we come to Racine.

Pleasant surprise

This was a refreshing space to stay during a last-minute trip to Wisconsin in February. The lobby is very inviting, filled with green plants on open shelving and a circular gas fireplace. There is a restaurant, Maurgerite, attached to the hotel. Service there is a bit odd but was great and more pleasant on our third night when we sat in the center section. Location on Main St in Racine is walking distance from several shops and restaurants. Fitness room is spacious and also features a sauna.

The Hotel Verdant was a wonderful experience for my husband and me. It was beautifully decorated with a great king bed and a lovely shower. Great linens, a DARK room ( no noisy appliances and things with red lights) made for a very pleasant stay. The parking situation is a bit inconvenient but we made it work.

Listing Wrong-Pres Suite Free Mini Bar- NO MINIBAR

We were quite disappointed. We called/emailed before arrival, with no reply. We had questions and needed some bedding removed. Upon arrival, we were told our messages had not been received. We saw the phone go unanswered while we waited for the elevator, as an employee was on their personal phone. That may explain it. We inquired at check-in about the complimentary minibar items mentioned in the Presidential Suite description. Other suites simply listed a minibar; the Presidential Suite specifically advertised "FREE MINI BAR ITEMS." We chose this more expensive suite as a treat, hoping to enjoy drinks before and after an event without having to bring our own. We were disappointed to learn that there were no minibars in any room, only water. We had to purchase drinks nearby after paying a premium for what was advertised. This amenity is listed on multiple booking websites, stating they receive their information from the hotel itself. The bedroom curtains were detached at the top, they did not close, and the sun came in early. The kitchen listing was also inaccurate. Plates and bowls were provided, but no silverware or stovetop. We were told utensils were being polished, but later told they don't provide silverware. Why dishes if no utensils? At checkout, we received neither an apology nor a discount. Inaccuracies led to unforeseen expenses. We paid for amenities that weren't available, specifically a minibar, and should have received a price adjustment.

The hotel was beautiful! I was very impressed with the lobby, it was spacious and cozy all at the same time. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The room was the best part. I have stayed in many hotel rooms across the country and in Racine, WI and this room was fabulous. It was big and roomy and the beds were blissful. The only thing better than the bed was the bathroom. Everything is new and beautiful. Fluffy towels and a great shower. The only thing I would note, is that housekeeping was only every 3rd day. That's fine for a single but I was with my 2 kids and we needed our garbage taken out, more towels, toilet paper, and tissues before the 3rd day.

A beautiful hotel

What struck me is the front desk gal, upon check-in - a blond, maybe 40's never smiled or said she was happy we chose Hotel Verdant. In fact, she seemed annoyed and unfriendly to us. That was a bit startling. On the second night, the fire alarm (which I now know are very very loud and have flashing lights) went off at 5-6 a.m and they could not get them off. This was the night after a family funeral and I regret the whiskey now, but not getting sleep was detrimental to my mental health that day. Upon check out the hotel did cut 50% off the room stay for one day and that was gracious -- but again - another hotel clerk was equally as crabby upon check out. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooftop bar is stunning. The gym is large and spacious. There was a coffee bar downstairs -- but no one in it. That was a bummer. That would be a great benefit -- a good espresso in the morning.

Nice but a bit lackluster

There were barely any amenities in the room. Thought there might be some lotion or Qtips…nothing. Also looked up to top of the shower and could see water and soap that was residue on the tiles that was not cleaned. Eco friendly lights that turn off in the bathroom are irritating. I live in a metropolitan city so I understand this isn’t the same experience, but for Racine they might try a bit harder to make it a bit nicer experience.
