This adorable property features 3 queen beds, 1 twin bed, a cozy living room, fully equipped kitchen, propane grill and fire pit. It's a scenic 20 minute drive to Niagara Falls and 5 to 15 minutes to the quaint historic villages of Lewiston, Youngstown and Wilson.

Our stay was perfect. Check-in and communication with the property owner was excellent. Kitchen was adequate with modern conveniences, oven/range, dishwasher, fridge, microwave. Some supplies were short, but we made do. Wi-Fi worked great with no issues. It was so peaceful a great place to shut down my brain for a few days.

A lot of issues the floors were all slanted no propane for the grill a mouse was on the couch, the door lock wasnt working it wasnt worth the price for the 2 nights for sure and i dont recommend staying there, only thing good was the scenery of lake Ontario

The property and location are beautiful! The house, however, is in need of repair. Floors are warped, with soft spots. Kitchen counter slants downward. Toilet feels wobbly. The steps down to the lake are also in disrepair. However, overall, we enjoyed the lake and property. The views are spectacular!

The location and view were perfect. The house seems to be falling apart. Definite know it’s a budget stay if that’s what you’re looking for. The floors are uneven and have soft spots, the shower has no cold water only scalding hot water, the AC units cool but they don’t dry the air. The host was reasonable and refunded us our cleaning fee. Yet he was at times a little hard to reach.

We had no heat due to a broken furnace in December-the owner did bring a space heater, but that blew a fuse, not a relaxing time. We had a group of seven, so we could not find another place to stay short notice. We also found old coffee left in the coffee pot. The location itself was nice and the lake was beautiful!

This was a rental for the night of our wedding, which was ultimately a waste of time and energy. We arrived to a dirty house, which we later found out was due to a calendar mix up with the cleaner. That night no one answered when we called. The other reviews mention the floors, and they are accurate. I kept warning him to not step too hard in the living room. Beautiful spot, but there are more well cared for priperties for similar costs all around, look elsewhere. We left within 5 mins. The refund does not cover the emotional rollar coaster on a special night, or the ruined morning plans. The door was also not locking properly.

This property has a beautiful backyard and lake access and view. It was the saving grace for as we had beautiful weather and made the best of these features. Unfortunately the house is in real need of work. As other reviewers have commented, the floor sags and is very uneven. You really have to watch your step. We experienced the propane running out and the hot water heater malfunctioning leaving us w no hot water for four days out of our week. There were other more minor issues such as a broken bed and not enough silverware. This house was/is well loved by the owners and it certainly provided their family with many years of fun as seen in the multitude of family photos and souvenirs on the walls. The owner responded to our communications but as a rental house one expects a higher standard.

Needs serious corrective plumbing/carpentry; being on Lake Ontario is amazing

The view, yard and lake access are truly amazing. We could tell that this was a family vacation home with lots of great memories. The entrance to the house is very cute as is the backyard.That said, the house clearly has had an ongoing plumbing/sewage/water damage issue for an extended period of time. The floors in the living area, bathroom and kitchen were very wavy and spongy. You can see the tilt of the floors and counters compared to the walls in the listing’s kitchen photo where the sink back-splash is and where there’s a gap in the baseboard molding in the bathroom, but it’s more pronounced in person. Using the toilet, which was wedged partly against the wall and didn’t appear to be sealed to the floor properly, was…daunting.Keeping this house on VRBO in its current condition seems like a risky idea. If the structural and plumbing issues were addressed, we would absolutely stay here again because again, the location was amazing and the interior has huge potential to be charming when there aren’t underlying issues.

AMAZING Location, Quirky Cabin

Renting this property is all about expectations. We didn’t expect perfection from an older lakeside cabin, so we were thrilled with the outdoor space, the views, and the amenities like the private yard, fire pit, rope swing, and the amount of space it gave our family and two dogs. PROS: The location was fantastic as well, with a small town just to the east with restaurants and parks and a short (scenic!) drive to Niagara Falls and Buffalo to the south. It was so quiet and beautiful at the cabin, and we spent hours just staring at the views each night, watching the gorgeous sunset over Lake Ontario. I still miss that view, the sound of the water, the cool breeze. CONS: The cabin floors are not level. The photos are deceptive and don’t fully show the significant slant in the bathroom and kitchen or the smaller slopes in the living room. This wasn’t a problem for our family, but I could see it surprising some folks or causing issues for families with mobility concerns. It would have been a hazard for my grandmother if she had joined us on this trip. The hot water was HOT to the point of pain if you were not careful, and the shower took a LOT of tweaking to get it balanced to warm instead of scalding. Minor thing - The available dishes were a bit haphazard for our family of four. We made do. Minor thing - The host sometimes takes a bit to respond to messages through VRBO. I did not call him, which was an option, so may be more responsive that way.

My family and I booked Greg's house because it was near Niagara Falls and on the lake. The pictures of the house looked great, and the view looked wonderful. After staying there, I would not recommend it. Here is the why. Pros: The view was awesome, beach access, and the sound of the waves coming off the lake was so peaceful. Greg got back to me quickly and resolved a hot water issue to our satisfaction. The location is quiet and close to some really cute, quaint towns. The pool table was fun. They allowed pets.Cons:The house is dangerous, especially for anyone with mobility issues. The floor and back patio are uneven, spongy, and warped. So much so that we frequently tripped over the one severely warped spot coming into the house several times. (See picture). The tub did not drain fully because of the warped floors. The toilet was placed in a very deep, warped spot, and I was afraid to sit on it for fear of falling through the floor. Every room in the house is slanted in some direction. The house had piss ants. We found them on the kitchen counter and while we were sitting on the couch.We couldn't get the TV to work. The internet was connected, but nothing would play. I even tried signing into my streaming accounts, and I couldn't get them to work either. There is not enough seating inside for a family to sit and relax together. There is only a couch. If the pool table weren't there, there would be space for seating. The beds were very uncomfortable.
