Beautifully decorated, vacation home in a prime location!  Whispering Grace is a 3 bedroom home with 2 large living areas, full kitchen, dining room, 2.5 baths, garage and great amenities!  Located just 10 minutes southwest of Rapid City, 20 minutes from Mt. Rushmore and 30 minutes from Hill City, it's a very accessible location in the area!



The main level has a front entrance and a back entrance off the deck.  You'll find a nice open living space that flows into the dining area and kitchen.  The living room has a beautiful rock fireplace, large picture windows and TV with a large sectional sofa.  Dining room seats 6 and the kitchen has a large wrap around counter and lots of space to make and enjoy group meals.



The 3 bedrooms are on the main level - all have queen size beds, closets and dressers.  There are 2 full baths on the main level and a walk-out to the large deck.



The lower level has a large family space with a flat screen TV, electric fireplace, lots of comfy seating and an extra sleeping spot with a twin bunk bed.  You'll also find it a great gathering spot with use of the wetbar and a game table for the kids!  There is a half bath downstairs and a laundry room.  You can walk out the lower level to a patio with seating and tables and enjoy the scenery or play games in the large lawn space.



The home sleeps 8 in beds  - max. capacity is 8.  Garage use, good parking and paved roads make it an excellent choice if you are on motorcycles!

This is a very nice location - close to Rapid City, close to Mt. Rushmore and by the Red Rocks Golf Course. The house sits on a very large lot and has nice views and scenery.

Beautiful scenery

This property was very nice. Could use some good dusting and sweeping under the beds. We enjoyed this property a lot. In the mornings we enjoyed seeing the deer everywhere and close by we saw lots of turkeys. Very relaxing.

Great family stay at Whispering Pines

Whispering Pines was exactly as shown. It was a great place to stay with our three granddaughters while on a family vacation. The house is spacious to give everybody enough room to spread out, but we could still all be together. Location was great for heading up to Keystone and Custer Park.

Outstanding Location

Very pleasant experience

The communication with us was very on time and precise. The directions the owner gave was not so helpful. We used google maps and it got us right to the place. The toaster broke while we were there and there was a new one delivered within a few hours. The house was very clean and we had plenty of supplies.

Week long getaway

The property was in a great neighborhood with friendly neighbors and daily deer visits. My kids loved the outdoor space! This house fit our needs for the week with a family of 7. The refrigerator went out on us while we were there but the owners of the property were very prompt in getting it replaced. Thank you for a great week in SD!

Not great for the price

Almost every dish we took out of the cabinets was filthy. No hand towels to dry your hands in the bathrooms or kitchen. Clothes washer was broken. We were supplied with a half roll of one ply toilet paper in each bathroom and a half roll of paper towel in the kitchen, and told to buy it for ourselves if we needed any more. Not much to cook with in terms of oil, spices, etc. other than the little bit left by previous renters. Paper thin pillows. I’ve never had to worry about basics when staying at a short term rental before this stay. Overall, just not a great stay for the price of it. Easy to figure out it’s managed by a rental company that wants to provide less than the bare minimum to maximize profits.

Whispering Grace is perfectly situated within close proximity to the Black Hills must sees. The house is in a nice neighborhood and has a good outdoor space. We needed to work with the property manager upon arrival about some housekeeping items but she was responsive and took care of our needs. I believe the listing may be out of date as the home does not appear to be newly remodeled and would benefit from a deep clean and freshening up of the interior. All in all, we had a great stay in the Black Hills and consider this vacation to be one of our best.

Daily Deer Visits

Every day when we returned from our adventures we were greeted by a yard full of deer. Nice bonus! The place was exactly as advertised, the owner is nearby in case of issues, and the location is convenient to local sites such as Rushmore. We really enjoyed the stay!

Great location and spacious house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rapid City, South Dakota! We could not have found a better, more spacious house to “land” after hiking and sightseeing all day! We loved seeing the deer each morning and night laying around the yard. We all enjoyed the Christian based theme and prayer tree. It felt like home away from home!

VERY POSITIVE RENTAL EXPERIENCE

The house worked great for the four of us. Everything was clean and shipshape on our arrival. We were pleasantly surprised to find it had WiFi service although the property description we originally saw specifically said “no” WiFi. We found the television service to be difficult to use. Location for our Black Hills excursions was excellent. All in all very pleased with our rental experience.

This beautiful place was convenient to all the major local attractions like Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, Custer State Park, Keystone, and Rapid City. But it was also separate enough to enjoy the country and space. There were deer in the yard nearly every day!

Mt. Rushmore adventures

We had a great time staying at the rental. It was beautiful and being able to play outdoors with the kids was great. The yard was big enough to play sports with the family after a day of sightseeing. Deer was all around and the kids loved watching them. Such a beautiful place and lots of adventures.

This was a wonderful place to spend our vacation! The vacation home was clean, comfortable, homey, nicely furnished and well equipped. the location is great, easy to find, and in a nice neighborhood. We especially enjoyed seeing the deer in the yard each day! The owner left a book with the history of the house which was very interesting, and the details they left for using the house were quite informative. The home is situated in an area that makes it easy to reach stores & restaurants as well as surrounding parks and other sites of interest. We came to South Dakota specifically to go to national and state parks and see as much wildlife and scenery as we could. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and feel it’s the best vacation rental home we have ever stayed in. We would have loved to just stay there all summer! We would definitely recommend it.
