Overall, I had a wonderful stay at The Graduate. The coffee shop in the lobby is tasty and convenient. There was a cute rooftop bar area. The valet was very backed up when we were there and we had to wait 30+ mins for the car multiple times. Next time, if they are overwhelmed I'd prefer they suggest an alternative to valet.

Worth the stay and will be back

Friendly. Staffed by many students who don't quite get it. When checked in it was simple and not informed that room service was on only given on request. Bed was great. Good shower. Whoever furnished the rooms and dining area had no idea that the comfortable chairs weren't right for sitting at a table...too low. Even in the room, the chair wasn't appropriate. If someone wanted to pass between the chair and the bed, you had to get up and push the chair into the desk to let a person pass. All this sounds bad, but if you just want comfortable, and easy, this place is very functionable, quiet and well located.

Decorated nicely and nice on site amenities. The lack of parking forces you to use the overpriced valet. The rooftop bar was nice but pricey and charged my card twice for the same meal. The check in/out staff weren’t very friendly or welcoming. Bathroom is small inside the room and the tv is small and outdated. It was decent for one night but I wouldn’t go back. I’ve stayed in better places for less money.

The front desk staff were nice but not too smart. I was charged twice for my room then double charged for parking. I had to argue to get this corrected, that was frustrating. I like this hotel, the location is perfect for visiting my son at VCU.
