Good value for the price

Not just a hotel room, but a 1 bedroom suite. Close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Staff was very helpful.

The Claridge - Rio de Janeiro

*Helpful staff, but you should know some Portuguese *Bring plenty of Brazilian money - taxis don't take credit cards and you can't get cash back at grocery stores. ATMS are a little difficult to use internationally. *Cute room with kitchen separate dining, living and bedroom. 2 balconies. *Wonderful complimentary breakfast *Gorgeous pool and lounge area on the rooftop

Make sure this is what you want

I only needed a room and bathroom - as most hotels provide. Instead I got a whole apartment with kitchen and lounge and diningroom wasted. This was difficult to establish when I booked. The shower was extremely small, and to add injury, the shower door opened to the inside, making it hardly possible to enter the shower. All my clothes got wrinkled when I was forced to hang them in a cupboard meant for trousers only, as the taller cupboard had no rail to hang clothe hangers from. If the price was better I could live with it, but unfortunately the price was similar to a top class member of international hotel group close by (starts with "S") and my opinion is that I got very poor value for my money. The "full breakfast" advertized is not a full breakfast at all, and worth no more than 10R$. All staff were very friendly and helpful and always tried hard to provide good service - I will compliment them on that.

gut für Selbstversorger

Das Promenade bietet eine voll ausgestattete Küche für Selbstversorger. Das macht es für einen längeren Aufenthalt sehr geeignet. Schön auch, dass man ein kleines Appartment mit einem Wohn- einem Schlafraum und separater Küche und Bad hat. Zusammen mit der guten Lage in Leblon ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthaltsort.

très agréable

hôtel bien localisé,même si un peu loin des principaux points de visite, les services proposés sont très fonctionnels. Intéressant pour des séjours qui dépassent une semaine afin de profiter pleinement des services de l'hôtel. Personnel extrêment sympathique.
