This is a beautiful getaway in a very scenic area of Rio. The grounds are filled with native plants, and the birds and occasional monkey make it a virtual paradise. Our host Matteo is wonderful and makes sure your stay is truly enjoyable. Hope to return again and again! :)

Tuakaza is an amazing place to stay. Hospitality and amenities are 10/10. Breakfast is served, and there are many opportunities for relaxing. The scenery is beautiful, and the pool adds to the beauty. I would highly suggest Tuakaza to any traveler who wants to get away from the noise of the city, but still wants easy access to it. Matteo is very friendly and helpful at providing recommendations!

Matteo was beyond amazing. So incredibly flexible and made us feel right at home. The property, furniture, accomodations, and Matteo made this stay absolutely incredible. He had various reccomendations for hikes, things to do, and restaurants. Will definitely be booking again next time I’m in Rio. Definitely a must do while visiting Rio. Matteo is a fantastic host and the property is simply amazing!! Both the design and location. But I think the best quality was how relaxing and homely the place felt, it really did feel like a luxury private home rather than a guesthouse. The views over Pedra da Gavea and Sao Conrado were breathtaking, and again Matteo was a fantastic and conscientious host. Wonderful views! , a once amazing property but now needs much T.L.C ! Decoration exciting , wood build house fantastic design , benefit from thorough deep clean , including pool areas outside too . Appreciate difficulty keeping clean as in jungle area (had mouse in room! ) but great to see monkeys on our balcony. For the price would also expect more breakfast variety (same for 3 days )but was a pleasure to greeted by friendly Mattao the host with great coffee each morning .

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel resort in Rio de Janeiro that left a lasting impression on me and my wife. The building itself was designed by an architect who managed to imbue it with a sense of wonder that truly enhanced my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the stunning view that greeted me, and this feeling continued throughout my stay. One of the standout aspects of my stay was the incredible breakfast, which featured fresh fruit and was served with a view of the valley. The combination of delicious food and beautiful scenery was truly unbeatable. But what really made this hotel stand out was the service. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, and their approach made me feel like I was staying at a friend's place rather than a hotel.

Magical and whimsical retreat in the city of Rio. Come here if you want peace, beauty and an opportunity to absorb the energy from the magnificent landscape that is so unique to Rio. A remarkable experience. A highly welcome way to experience Rio’s majestic nature. The views of pedra de Gávea, pedra bonita, the ocean, and the paragliders are extraordinary, as the property, its dozens of wood terraces, and pools are tastefully tucked into the hillside. Matteo is attentive to each guest and ensures your experience is relaxing and enjoyable, and the subtle ambiance and ample snacks and drinks make this a perfect getaway. Highly recommend it!
