Il Baluardo is a charming apartment located at the base of a historic 11th-century tower house, perched on the cliff in the most panoramic part of Manarola. An authentic and evocative place where history, sea and landscape merge into a unique experience in the heart of the Cinque Terre.



The building is the same one that hosts Lampara Sea View Terrace AC Apartment, which occupies the upper floors of the tower. The two properties can be booked together, offering an ideal solution for larger groups of up to 10 guests, with independent spaces and the right level of privacy.



The apartment is arranged over two levels. On the lower floor there is a bright and welcoming living area with two sofas (one convertible into a single bed), a dining table and a fully equipped kitchen with cooktop, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. From here, there is access to a small panoramic balcony overlooking a spectacular setting: the Cinque Terre coastline, the rocks of Manarola and the cliff below, where the waves break, creating a lively and deeply Mediterranean atmosphere.



The upper floor hosts a bright double bedroom and a second bedroom with bunk beds, both equipped with ventilation. Independent heating ensures a warm and welcoming environment during the winter months, while fans guarantee a fresh and comfortable stay in summer.



Il Baluardo is ideal for couples, families and small groups looking for an authentic, panoramic stay away from the busiest tourist flows. Combined with Lampara, it represents a perfect solution for those wishing to enjoy the entire tower house of Manarola exclusively.



Pets

Small and medium-sized dogs are allowed, with a supplement and in compliance with house rules. Dogs must be kept on a leash in common areas and are not allowed on beds or sofas.



Access and useful information

Manarola is a fully pedestrian village: the apartment can only be reached on foot from the railway station or from the parking area, with uphill sections and stairs. There are no taxis or internal transport within the village.



Check-in is not in person: all instructions and access details are provided before arrival. The arrival time must still be communicated in advance (15:00–18:30). Arrivals after 18:30 may incur an additional fee; check-in after 22:00 is not accepted. By law, heating is not permitted from 1 April to 8 November.
