The villa now offers 7 apartments, all different from one another, partly furnished with antiques and equipped with every modern comfort.

Villa Angelica is surrounded by a wonderfull park of 5 hectares with swimmingpool and sauna and is located only 900 m from the centre of one of the most romantic towns of Lake Garda: Riva.

We are pleased to welcome you to this luxurious apartment of 115sq. meters.

It occupies the entire second floor of the right wing of the house and accommodates 2 to 7 people.

On one side, it overlooks the villa’s courtyard and fountain, on the opposite side, it faces the mountains and looks down on the nearby stream "Albola".

It features three large bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower and large windows throughout, from where to enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains and the villa.

Apartment 'Umberto Eco' at Villa Angelica

Our family, five adults and one child, joined for one night by another adult, were visiting for our daughter's wedding and we stayed for nearly a week. We enjoyed our stay in Umberton Eco and felt comfortable and well provided for. As others have noted, we were surprised with a free dessert one day, which we appreciated and very much enjoyed. It is evident that others staying at Villa Angelica were also very happy so we can recommend that others stay there. The locality is beautiful, and there are many facilities and entertainments in easy reach that we would have wanted to utilise more if we had been able to stay longer. We could also have used the pool, which is clean and well maintained. The grounds are well maintained, offer some privacy and provide a good place to relax and unwind. The only pitfall is that some webpages appear to confuse which rooms are in which apartments at the Villa. It may be worth asking about that when preparing to book! Emberto Eco consists of two bathrooms joined together by a shower, kitchen, dining room, three bedrooms and a spacious sitting area. The joined bathrooms surprised us, but the arrangement worked well for us. The kitchen has plenty of room for storage and food preparation. Bedrooms were well prepared, and the sitting area has plenty of seating. All other facilities of the Villa were available, and it is very good value!

Beautiful villa and gardens

We spent a week in Umberto Eco with our son, daughter and their partners. The impressive Villa Angelica is set well away from traffic and has delightful gardens, with a recently installed swimming pool. The apartment is spacious and cool with 3 good sized bedrooms. The town centre is about a 15-minute walk away, the lakeside 5 minutes or so further on. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week in this splendid accommodation.

Villa Angelica.......fantastic!!!

This was our first trip to the italian lakes traveling in a group of 9 which included 3 young children the Villa Angelica was quite unbelievable and not what any of us had really expected,with a drive from Verona of approximately 1h 45 the apartments where quite spectacular they were very clean and spacious with all the amenities you would expect. we stopped in the newly completed evo apartments on the third floor of this magnificent building the living area with its exposed timber roof trusses and the timber floors really did show the extent to which the owner had restored this building, the gardens were well maintained with the soothing sound of the mountain stream as it passed by the property.the added security of an electronic gated property made us all feel very at ease, the owner of the property a warm and welcoming lady whom couldn’t do enough for us even inviting us in to her own private apartments for drinks, you really did feel part of the family. There was plenty of on site parking and i would recommend the villa suitable for families. The owner informed us that she would be introducing some english speaking television programs to the mainly dominated German channels and although this was, from our point of view, purely to catch up on news this would not put us off using this property in the future. The property was situated approx 20 min walk from the town of Riva del Garda and was a most pleasant walk even with young children the town situated on the lake was full of history with beautiful scenery and surrounded by a mountain landscape, the weather, with the exception of one rainy day, was sunny with temperatures reaching the high 30’s. In summery this is a place well worth a visit!

Nice location and friendly reception

The setting of the villa is magical, really nice garden area with, when you want a lot of privacy The pool is relatively small but good. Angelica en Rafael and lovely dog Caja are great hosts. Appartment (Umberto Eco) was basic but good, but also very hot in the midst of (a hot) summer. Their are numerous fans but no airco. On the left side of the house and appartment is a small river with a waterfall. Did not really bother us, but be aware of that when you are sensitive for noise. All in all a great experience. Will definitely come back when visiting Grada lake. Riva is by the way a really nice town, Angelica and Rafael have free bikes availabl so you are in the centre of town very quickly (prepare back for a bit hilly climb:-).

Wat een OASE ! Prachtig huis op een prachtig terrein.

Het huis is oud, maar authentiek. Het ligt op 10' lopen van het centrum en voldoet aan alles wat wij wilden, eigen appartement, parkeren achter het huis, mooi zwembad, sauna. En de eigenaar is "one of a kind" echt super! Alles kan en hij zal alles doen om het je naar de zin te maken. Aanrader met 5 sterren.

Schöne große Villa mit Pool

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung, und waren begeistert. Auch die Nutzung von Pool und Sauna war klasse. Auch das tiramisu war ein Traum. Wenn vielleicht das ein oder andere Fenster mehr eine Insektengase bekäme wäre es über perfekt.

Wieder einmal haben wir unsere knappe und wichtige Urlaubszeit am richtigen und schönsten Ort verbracht den wir auswählen konnten ....es war wirklich "wie nach Hause" zu kommen ...... die Villa ist einfach ein wunderbarer,stilvoller und erholsamer Ort welcher durch die herzliche Gastlichkeit zu einem ganz besonderen Erlebniss wird ! Man kann an dieser Stelle eigentlich nur von Herzen Danken für die Möglichkeit so ein wundervolles Domizil als Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche herrliche Ausflüge zu bekommen um die Schönheit des Gardasees in gänze zu genießen und zu erleben ! Es war schlichtweg wieder Besonders ! -DANKE für alles nochmal an dieser Stelle ---vor allem dafür das wir uns als Stammgäste fühlen dürfen ........wenn nicht in der Villa...wo dann........ eine kleine Oase am Gardasee

Wir haben zwei Wochen das gemütliche Apartment "Rafael" bewohnt und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Familie ist sehr liebenswürdig und angenehm zurückhaltend, die Betreuung persönlich. Egal ob Ausflugstipps oder einfach nur ein nettes Gespräch, wir haben uns immer herzlich willkommen gefühlt. Und der selbstgebackene Kuchen von Maria hat natürlich auch dazu beigetragen :-) Das gesamte Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll eingerichtet, so kann man den Gardasee genießen! Vielen Dank, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft auch für Kongressreisen

Ich hatte das Vergnügen mit drei meiner Kollegen in der Villa Angelica während eines Kongresses in Riva del Garda unterzukommen. Wir waren begeistert von der Ausstattung, sowie der Großzügigkeit unserer Unterkunft (Appartment Umberto Eco). Selbst für das Kleinkind meiner Kollegin stand ein Bett bereit. Das historische Anwesen und der Fluss mit dem kleinen Wasserfall auf dem Grundstück sind wunderschön, mit dem Rauschen des Flusses im Ohr hab ich wunderbar geschlafen, was sonst bei mir nicht selbstverständlich ist. Die Gastgeber sind herzlich und freundlich, sodass bis auf das Dauerregenwetter unser Kongressaufenthalt in Riva ein wahres Vergnügen war. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

Ernst gemeinte Freundlichkeit - Zu Hause fühlen

Am Stadtrand von Riva gelegen, fügt sich die Anlage der Villa traumhaft in die Umgebung ein. Ein umwerfender Park mit Liegen, Sitzgruppen, Grill und Ausblick über Stadt und etwas See. Die Inhaber empfangen einen mit einer überschwänglichen Freundlichkeit, die aber zu jeder Zeit ernsthaft und passend ist. Gut eingerichtete Unterkunft mit allem, was das Herz begehrt. Wenn etwas fehlt, ist die gute Seele des Hauses zur Stelle. Mit dem Rad ist man rollend in vier Minuten in der Fußgängerzone. Einkaufläden sind mit dem Rad in drei Minuten zu erreichen - gleicher rollender Weg. Eine rundum gelungene Anlage mit durchweg guten Service. Wir würden wieder kommen. : )

Traumurlaub für die ganze Familie

Dieses wunderbare Domizil muss man einfach weiterempfehlen, denn perfekter kann man gar nicht Urlaub machen. Wir sind eine größere Familie und waren ALLE rundherum zufrieden (und das ist mitunter gar nicht so leicht zu erreichen). Das ganze Anwesen liegt traumhaft ruhig inmitten eines alten Parks voller Geheimnisse mit historischen Springbrunnen, Olivenbäumen, Palmen... vor der Kulisse der überraschend hohen Berge. Hier lässt es sich bei Hitze wunderbar aushalten und man läuft auch kaum anderen Besuchern über den Weg, da der Park so weitläufig ist. Die Ferienwohnung Umberto Eco ist größer als man es von den Bildern her erwartet. Sie ist geschickt mit einem geschmackvollen Mix aus Antiquitäten und modernen Möbeln so eingerichtet, dass man deutlich das historische Flair spürt, aber auch nicht Kinder ständig von etwaigen zerbrechlichen Gegenständen/Gefahrenquellen fernhalten muss. Wir durften auch mal einen Blick in zwei andere Ferienwohnungen werfen- sie sind alle wunderschön. Die Vermieterin ist ausgesprochen freundlich und nimmt alle Anliegen der Gäste ernst, jeder Wunsch wurde uns erfüllt. Von der Villa zur Innenstadt und zum Gardasee kann man sehr gut zu Fuß gehen. Unsere größeren Kinder konnten also auch allein durch die Stadt streifen und die Kleinen waren froh, so naturnah zu wohnen und im Park die coolen Rutscherautos zu testen. Die Badestrände in Riva fanden wir toll, und -nachdem wir einige andere Städte und Strände angeschaut hatten- auch am schönsten. Die Julihitze ließ sich für uns Norddeutsche gut verkraften, denn durch die hohen Berge ist es hier immer etwas angenehmer als z.B. am Südufer. Zu guter Letzt: überall sind uns die Menschen in Riva freundlich begegnet, die sprichwörtliche Kinderfreundlichkeit der Italiener war deutlich zu spüren. Sobald es geht, kommen wir wieder!

Die Erwartungen mehr als erfüllt :-D

Da wir schon mehrfach unseren Urlaub am Gardasee verbrachten, dachten wir wir kennen schon so einiges. Aber dieses Kleinod war uns bisher verborgen geblieben. Nicht nur das Anwesen an sich ist schon etwas besonderes, sondern auch die Vermieterin und ihre Mitarbeiter sind an Herzlichkeit und Freundlichkeit kaum zu überbieten. Alles unkompliziert, einfach nur schön!!

Zauberhafte Woche in der Villa Angelica

Wer einen besonderen Urlaub abseits der Normal-Hotellerie erleben möchte, der ist in der Villa Angelica bestens aufgehoben - ein ehemaliges Nonnenkloster mit einer phantastischen Parkanlage. Das Hauptgebäude wurde behutsam renoviert, ohne den alten Charme vermissen zu lassen. Wir hatten für eine Woche die Wohnung "Vincenzo Errante" gebucht, ein ehemaliges Gewölbe, das zu einer Wohnung ausgebaut wurde, die selbst im Sommer angenehm kühl bleibt. Nicht zu vergessen die wunderbaren antiken Möbel und die liebevolle Ausstattung. Vor allem aber die herzliche Vermieterin und ihre freundliche Haushälterin, die die Gäste mitunter mit Kuchen und Tiramisu versorgte. Auf dem Anwesen etwas außerhalb von Riva ist jeder Trubel vom Gardasee sofort vergessen; das Gelände ist so groß, dass man sich mit den anderen Gästen nicht in die Quere kommt. Zum Gardasee-Ufer selbst sind es etwa 1,4 Kilometer, zurück steigt der Weg leicht an. Besonders empfehlenswert: Die kleine Terrasse am Südende des Gartens, von der aus man über das komplette Sarca-Tal blickt und die heraufziehende Dunkelheit am Abend genießen kann. Die Villa eignet sich auch bestens als Ausgangspunkt für verschiedene Rennrad-Touren.

ein Traum

Die ganze Villa +Grundstück sind ein Traum. Alles liebevoll gepflegt, es liegt ein besonderer italienischer Zauber darüber. Die Vermieterin und ihr Team sind stets in besonderer Weise um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht, jeder Wunsch wird fast von den Augen abgelesen. Wir hatten einen zauberhaften und erholsamen Urlaub und fahren sehr gern wieder hin. Nur weiter zu empfehlen. ( Familie aus Berlin)

Urlaub wie im Paradies

Wir haben eine Woche Urlaub gemeinsam mit Freunden in der Villa Angelica verbracht. Die Lage ist traumhaft und man fühlt sich nach dem Betreten der Parkanlage und Villa sofort wohl. Alles ist sehr gepflegt und wir wurden freundlich von Angelica, Maria und ihrem Mann aufgenommen. Wir (4 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder) haben die Wohnung Umberto Eco im Dachgeschoss bezogen. Die Zimmer waren komfortabel und boten uns ausreichend Platz. Die Kinder hatten immer viel Spaß bei der Erkundung der Parkanlage. Es waren am Grillplatz auch mehrere Spielsachen und Fahrzeuge vorhanden. Der kleine Gartenteich war auch eingezäunt. Bis nach Riva führte eine direkte Verbindungsstrasse ins Zentrum. Zu Fuß waren wir in 10 Minuten in der Altstadt. Empfehlenswert ist auch ein Ausflug an den Tennosee und den Varone Wasserfall. Wir bedanken uns herzlich für den erholsamen und wunderschönen Urlaub und werden uns noch lange daran erfreuen. Fam. Ahlgrimm und Süß

Domus Claudius: the perfect family accomodation

We would like to reccomend Villa Angelica to all travellers to Lake Garda! The charming Domus Claudius provides the perfect accomodation for our family of four!! Whilst being a separate house from the Villa, it is just a stone throw away and is giving us all the privacy and tranquillity we needed. Everything is simply perfect! All facilities are in perfect working conditions and cooking in the garden while listening to the sound from the nearby river is magic. Most importantly, we thank Signora Maria and Signora Angelica for making our holiday even more special!! We are still here, but already sad to be leaving soon and will definetly return next year!!

Ein wundervolles familiäres Ferienerlebnis!

Die Villa Angelica war die beste Wahl. Wir haben sehr kurzfristig gebucht und wurden trotz später Anreise sehr freundlich und familiär empfangen. Der Kamin war schon angefeuert :) Im Appartment Leticia haben wir uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Es war supersauber und gemütlich. Die Gastgeberin und auch alle anderen Angestellten haben sich rührend um unser Wohl gekümmert und jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Trotzdem hat man seine Ruhe und kann sich wie zu Hause fühlen. Das Anwesen ist sehr beeindruckend und man kann anschließend mit den Urlaubsfotos angeben. Fazit: Ein absoluter Tipp! Wir fahren wieder hin!

Traumurlaub

An Gastfreundschaft und Service ist das Team von Villa Angelica nicht zu übertreffen. Hinzu kommen das historische Ambiente der Gebäudes und seiner Einrichtung, der wunderschöne Park und die sehr gute Ausstattung der Ferienwohnung. Hier ist wirklich jede Minute Urlaub!
