Great hotel in a great area! We enjoyed our stay very much! Staff, food, drinks, all wonderful. The standard rooms are small, but that is clearly indicated when you book. No onsite parking, but its not far. Only a few minutes walk. We are still talking about our stay and hope to be back.

Our room was at the front overlooking the square and noise was a problem and the windows were fixed open Lorry parked under the window at 4am delivering or collecting noisily

The hotel is located in the beautiful town of Romsey, which is very clean with plenty to see, good shopping and good restaurants. Although there is no elevator in the hotel, staff were available to carry up the luggage. The staff were very pleasant and eager to help and assist.

Lovely little Hotel right in the center of Romsey. Parking is Free in Council Parks from 4pm until 8-30am. Good food in Restaurant for evening meal and also for Breakfast. I would advise people to be careful on the Main stairs as it is an old building and these need to be taken with care.

All round a very good stay

Myself & a group of friends were staying at this hotel for a funeral not far away. Was a bit worried initially that they didn’t have anywhere to park but the info they provided regarding parking was really good and the longstay car park was really not that far away in the end, maybe a 3min walk at most. The rooms were clean & beds comfy. Staff were very helpful & grateful when you pointed out an issue(we had an issue with the drain in our shower). Breakfast was good. And the hotel was positioned very well with plenty of options for food if you didn’t want to eat at the hotel. Nice cafe close by also. All round a very good stay.

Mini Summer break

Another fabulous visit and wonderful stay. I would recommend a little light on the balcony table for late drinks. A few less spiders would have been better as well 😂. There was a table below very close to the balcony with people attending a wedding party including excited children. This did make the room less relaxing than hoped for. Apart from that the Abbey bells are lovely to wake up to, and the staff were very friendly as always.

some rooms are too hot to sleep in

The 2 rooms we had were on the top floor and oppressively hot. In excess of 30 degrees C. Whilst it was indeed a hot weekend weather wise, supplying a fan with windows which barely open will never cool down a room. The hotel should invest a small amount of its revenue into proper air conditioning for those rooms. Until they do i will not believe they really care about their customers

Lovely hotel, with friendly helpful staff, lovely clean and attractive rooms and comfy bed. The only downside was no fridge in the room to keep our water and juice cold and as it was a very hot weekend it meant the bottles they supplied and supplies we took quickly got warm; although not sure where they would fit one in our room 🤔….
