Poor Experience

Check in experience: I arrived precisely at check in time, to find that there was nobody there to check me in. After 15 minutes, I called the number provided and thought they'd said they were 5 minutes away - but ended up waiting outside the property for more than an hour. By comparison, people who had been on the same train as I had and chose to chance their luck checking in early had been successful in doing so. Room: I was extremely disappointed that the room wasn't what had been shown in the photos. This felt like false advertising, as the style lacked any of the charm I'd expected. The only window faced onto the main road, meaning there was no opportunity to sit near a window with the curtains open and experience privacy. Cleanliness: There were hairs from someone else's stay on the shower walls, and stains on the pillows. I would not recommend this hotel. I felt unwelcome, uncomfortable, and missold. Hotels.com were fantastic in their support, whereas the owners didn't respond to them about a request for a partial refund to account for time lost at check-in.

Great place to stay ahead of the Camino! Was able to get my bearings in SJPP and hit the road in the morning. Convenient location. Checkin was late, but I’d recommend contacting the hosts before your trip to arrange to drop your bags.

The room was charming albeit dark. The location was fantastic. The service subpar. We were left standing for a long time before we were able to reach somebody to let us in. This happened even though we had messaged the property about our arrival time

We had a great stay, this business is ran by a husband and wife, the property is very charming and has all the amenities that you would expect at a small B& B. Situated a few step’s away from the start of th Camino de Santiago and a few buildings down from the Pilgrims office.
