Beautiful pigeonnier tower gite in rural french setting with pool. Very peaceful

Arriving at Le Peynau via it's long gravel drive & set well back from the quiet single lane, you will find ample parking with shaded areas. A very short walk around to the private entrance & terrace of Le Pigeonnier is your outdoor dining & seating furniture, sun sail & a BBQ for your private use. This peaceful terrace looks over lawn & then 1000's of square metre's of sunflowers or other crops, and vineyards. You are not overlooked here.

Le Pigeonnier has been lovingly and painstakingly renovated retaining it's exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings. It includes all the modern facilities & comforts you could want to make your stay very pleasant & comfortable. Set over 3 floors it's appeal as a 2 person luxury getaway in the French countryside is, we believe a real winner. Entering the ground floor from your terrace you have a spacious room which serves as your fully equipped kitchen with an additional central island with seating, a portable bluetooth music system is supplied for your enjoyment as well as Smart TV with Feesat, super fast Starlink Wifi & carefully chosen character furnishings complete the look.

On the first floor you will find your shower room & seperate WC. The 'spare room can be set up as eothera second bedroom with a french double or a comfy lounge space if required with a large comfy sofa, wide screen TV with DVD & fantastic views over the sunflowers & vines that surround the property.

The second floor is the beautiful & spacious master bedroom. Low noise 12 speed tower fans are supplied for your comfort, a superking size bed with luxury linens & again carefully chosen character furnishings. The room has high vaulted ceilings with opening Velux window.

A short walk up the lawn you will find the entrance to the shared spaces. These include the 11 x 5m heated swimming pool with its ample surrounding terraces, loungers & shades. Access to the games courtyard is off the pool side where will find the Petanque court, large relaxtion terrace & the covered pool table. The courtyard also guards the entrance to the Cave where a selection of local wines can be sampled with your hosts, Adam & Christina, during guided wine tasting sessions. (please enquire)

If wine is an interest and the region particularly then we can arrange tailored wine days out including transport and guidance to our favourite vineyards and attractions. This is an additional fee which can be discussed either at time of booking of in person on arrival.

Your welcome hamper will include a few food essentials to help relax & revive you after your journey along with a bottle or 2 of a local wine in the fridge to ease you into the holiday mood. If it's rural peace, space & huge skies you are seeking, then lounging by the pool or on your private terrace at Le Pigeonnier is tough to beat.
