Welcome to Saint-Lactencin, in the heart of Berry, in the Indre Valley. The Château de la Brosse gîte invites you to savor the authentic charm of the Indre countryside, a land of heritage, nature, and a gentle way of life.

Just a few minutes from Châteauroux and the Indre Valley, you'll enjoy a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. Those who love walking will appreciate the many hiking and cycling trails that crisscross the Berry countryside. The landscapes alternate between meadows, rivers, and charming villages.

The Indre Valley region captivates visitors with its historical heritage, castles, farmers' markets, and traditional way of life. Nearby, explore the Brenne Regional Natural Park, a paradise for nature lovers and birdwatchers, discover the cultural treasures of Berry, or enjoy a round of golf at the Val de l'Indre Golf Course, located just a few kilometers away by car.

The cottage is part of the private Château de La Brosse estate, listed on the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments. The estate comprises several buildings, including the Château de la Brosse (17th century) and outbuildings, one of which we have converted into a modern, peaceful cottage with all amenities and access to the Château grounds, its swimming pool, and tennis court.

Whether you're looking for cozy moments by the fire, outdoor activities, or a relaxing stay in an authentic setting, this is an ideal base for exploring the Indre region and its treasures.

The house has five bedrooms: four with double beds and one children's bedroom with two bunk beds.

The TV lounge also has a double sofa bed if needed.
Cotton satin sheets, duvets, and towels are provided.
A gas BBQ is available on the grounds.
Free Wi-Fi access is available. Orange TV channels broadcast some international channels in English. On the ground floor: a large entrance hall, a living/dining room with a fireplace, a small TV lounge, a large kitchen, a bedroom with a queen-size bed (160x200 cm) and an en-suite shower room, and a toilet with a washbasin.

Upstairs: a landing, two bedrooms each with a queen-size bed (160x200 cm), a bedroom with two single bunk beds (90x190 cm), a bathroom, a toilet with a washbasin, and a bedroom with a queen-size bed (160x200 cm) and an en-suite shower room with a toilet.

In the basement: a laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, sink, and shower. Available for loan: 5 adult mountain bikes

In the Château grounds, about 100 meters from the gîte, there is a tennis court and a 12m x 6m heated swimming pool open from May to the end of September (weather permitting). The pool's depth ranges from 1.1m to 2.2m. There is also a pool house with bathroom facilities and a kitchen.

The grounds of the Domaine de la Brosse cover 26 hectares. The gîte sits on 4 hectares.
