Disliked: Cleanliness
The apartment was large and generally catered for all we needed This is located in the Vila Verde resort not where is shown on the map.There is a supermarket a couple of minutes walk from the apartment which stocked what we neededCheck in instructions were clear and we found the apartment without issue the pictures of the pool area ( white buildings ) are actually bikini beach which is one the Melia complex 20 mins walk away. Would recommend going there for the beach where sunbeds are free It was clear when we checked in that the apartment had not really been cleaned or at least not very well at all. The main on suite bathroom was very grubby and the toilet seat covered in urine. It also lacked basic items such as toilet roll, washing up liquid etc. we also had to make all the beds in the apartment we checked out a day early but were contacted by the owner to say there wouldn't be time for her cleaner to clean before the next guest arrived so would we clean the apartment and wash the bedding and towels.We left the apartment in far better condition than what it was when we arrived and as there were no cleaning materials/ washing powder etc I would not have gone out and bought these items to clean for the owner Luckily I had bright antibacterial wipes so used these to clean with. Overall we had a good stay but I think a lot more need to be done to this apartment in future
