Coffee maker in room was broken. Shower knob was super difficult to pull up to activate so only received small stream of water. When reported to front desk they were very apologetic so I'm betting they have it fixed for next guest!

The pocket doors in the bathrooms are faulty and lock their customers in. I was locked inside the bathroom for hours until someone heard my screams. Staff did NOTHING in regards to compensation. Horrible staff, especially the manager. Will not be returning. Such a shame since Holiday Inn Express is my go to hotel chain.

The hotel was pretty basic, and the room was a bit dated- I was reminded of the old 70's show "Love American Style." But out of all of the hotel rooms I stayed in this trip it had the most comfortable bed... I could barely pull myself out of it. My mom said the same thing about her bed.

Convenient & Stress Free, Bfast included

Convenient to Salt Palace convention, this location made it stress free for my business trip! I love reducing stress for my clients, but to have a clean room great view and breakfast everyday flipped this and reduced my stress to focus on leading my team to make the most of convention. I was informed at check-in that there was an additional fee (above originally quoted price total) of $25. for parking. Because this was a downtown location I looked specifically at "parking fees" & based on the verbage I thought one parking space was included. However, when I showed the desk clerk the listing on Expedia, she pointed out my misinterpretation of "only one parking space available per room" meant "only one...at $25. I also questioned the "2 queens" as I had reserved a room "1 king". She advised of a disclaimer that stated, "only if available at check-in". Rather deceptive & misleading in my opinion. While the room was very clean the entire building (including the parking garage) vibrated constantly. Perhaps due to trolley cars/lines nearby? Not certain however, we wouldn't entertain a 2nd stay here.
