The place was large, kitchen was clean and functional with lots of seating. The bedrooms were light and comfortable. The street outside is a little noisy but ear plugs to sleep took care of that.

The one thing I wish I would have known was that there were a lot of stairs and that they are not great! We had three other people with us that were a little older and stairs were not easy for them. The stairs inside of the unit are sloping slightly towards the front of the stairs, so it makes them a bit difficult to walk down. If you don’t have older adults with you, it may be fine. The outside stairs that come from the ground up to the unit are interesting. I’m not sure how they passed code or an inspection. The height from the top stair tread up to the landing is about four or 5 inches taller than all the other stair steps. Be careful. The unit itself looked great in the pictures with some updates and things, but it really needs some TLC and some maintenance. There is paint missing in places, a little mold on the ceiling above the shower, stains on the mattresses that we found after stripping the sheets at checkout and garbage piled up outside that looks like it hasn’t been taken to the street for three or four weeks. The city also delivered a notice to us while we were there telling us the water would be shut off in a few days if the delinquent water bill wasn’t paid. I don’t typically leave negative reviews for anything, but I think people need to know what to expect. Everything except for the stairs are really a minor fix and the property owner could take care of it with a few hours of maintenance.
