Enjoy a spacious, open floor plan and comfortable accommodations when you stay at Luna Vista! This four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom ocean-side home features a large great room with a high ceiling, pleasing decor, and exposed beams lending a touch of relaxing charm. Two main bedrooms and two additional bedrooms provide two queen beds, two single beds, and a bunk bed for comfortable sleeping options.

Furnished sundecks will give you a chance to relax with a refreshing beverage, breathe in that salty-fresh ocean air and enjoy a beautiful Outer Banks sunrise or sunset. Take a soothing dip in the hot tub located on the lower level deck or relax indoors and catch a show or a movie on one of four TVs, three VCRs, or a DVD player. Wireless, high-speed internet is available for your laptop when you want to surf the web for pleasure or business. For lots of vacation fun amidst a comfortable ocean-side setting, be sure to come stay at Luna Vista on your next trip to the Outer Banks!

THINGS TO KNOW
Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility, located at the Avon office address: 41156 Hwy 12, Avon, NC 27915. The pool is generally open from May 24 to September 8, from 10 AM to 6 PM. Please note that the operation of community pools is subject to the discretion of the state inspector, management, and/or the HOA. As a result, the availability schedule may change without prior notice.

Great floor plan

We enjoyed the home and the location but is a bit of a walk to the beach. Everything was clean and in good working order. We received a text message on the day of our arrival that allowed us to check in early which was much appreciated.

Nice house right on the cAnal. My daughters enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking right outside the house. Loved having the washer and dryer right upstairs so easy to keep laundry done. Great spot and beautiful views for our OBX vaca

Had a very nice stay at Luna Vista, beautiful home, great views, easy walk to the beach. We loved all of the space up on the main floor. Someone coming twice per week to clean and check on the hot tub was nice too. Only complaints was some mold growth under the kitchen sink from a previous leak and some of the sliding glass doors were difficult to open, and the outdoor shower did not work. Other than that the house and the Outer Beaches team were wonderful!

Full of fun!

The property is definitely well loved; some slight staining on the carpets and the walls could do with a re-paint, but all in all, the property was everything we needed it to be! Great hot tub, lots of windows and outdoor space, great beach access too! The property managers were very friendly in answering all of my questions, and they even had a gentleman come and check on the hot tub through out the week! 10/10

Luna Vista

Very spacious and pretty well maintained home. My favorite things were the decks to look out. We were out on the deck one morning and saw a deer in the backyard and had a cute little raccoon that peeked in our door one night. It was a good walk to the beach though but still walkable for the most part. Also not too far to drive to public access areas which were my favorite. We never had any problems that required assistance from the management company. I would definitely stay again.

Was a nice trip. Only thing was there were dirty dishes and dirty silverware. They should be checked in between guests. The ac filters need to be changed. Went the repairman came out to replace them they were dated 2/2018. Other than that it was a nice stay

A decent stay

Unfortunately, the first thing we noticed were ants. There were ants everywhere, even downstairs in the bathroom and bedrooms where we kept no food. The furniture is pretty outdated with a lot of stains. Cleanliness wasn’t ideal. Had an issue with the linens (lacked linens for a bed), Vacasa was extremely unhelpful. Overall, it fit our family’s needs and was close to the beach, though the walk over the dunes was a trek. I would say be sure to bring your own pillow and bath towels. They only give you one small pillow and bath towel per person. The deck seemed unsafe, needs updated. It was a decent stay at a good price, but I don’t think I’d stay here again.

The house is in a wonderful location, cozy neighborhood. Checking-in was very easy. The interior could use a little TLC as most everything looks dated. The TVs in the bedrooms are not particularly usable as they are too small and tucked in the corner below your eye-level when laying in bed. Main TV also needs checking as it would not connect to the cable box correctly so it isn't usable. But over-all the house is comfortable and our stay was enjoyable.

Always My Darling is very well furnished, and has many amenities. The house is also very well maintained. While it was funny to see the labels in the kitchen, it was truly helpful when trying to find something and when putting items away. The booklet on how to use all the electronics was also a nice added touch. If I had to guess, I`d say the owners are former renters and wanted to make sure renters of their property don`t experience the same frustrations we all have so many times. Great family time.

This was the first time in awhile that I had both my children and grandchildren on a family vacation. It was very special . The house met our needs. If you are a senior the walk to the beach is brutal. I definitely had to have help. Of course this is no one’s fault but just information that someone might need to know. We also unfortunately we’re up close and personal to the surf shop that caught fire right near us. My condolences to the owners and people who lived there. Thank goodness no one was hurt.

My stay at this home

This is our first time staying at this home. The living room furniture is very uncomfortable it is hard not ideal for relaxing. We slept in one of the queen size beds it was hard we got up every morning and got in the hot tub to relax our backs we are use to king size beds . We slept in the first bedroom by the door cause the other queen size bed looked like it was slanting down by the headboard. Outside of the room we slept in the hot tub was on the deck there and for some reason the hot tub ran a lot most of the night . The first night we stayed there was no hot water. Which we called and they came the next day in the morning . And the tv in the bedroom we stayed in didn’t work they also got that fixed. Did not know you couldn’t use the outside grill until we got the email for the information about the house two days before we was to check in and we were already away from home and couldn’t bring our own small grill. The pictures of the grill shouldn’t be in advertising of the house if unable to use. Need to put on the fridge a sign letting people know when garbage pickup is . We had to find that information on the check in email as well most places we have stayed at has that information posted on the fridge. The house was clean. And the walk to the beach was nice not too far .

Would NOT recommend

The property is old and desperately needs updates. House has too much furniture in the living area that is old and cluttered and looks like institutional furniture. Beds are rock hard and really need to be replaced. House was dirty when we arrived and had to wait over an hour for someone to come clean it. The toaster had no handles on it and the bread only went half way in. Only had one frying pan and it was scratched up and left chucks of coating in your food. AC broke and they couldn't fix it so we had one window unit to try to cool the whole top floor. Community pool is 20 min drive away and the beach is a good 15 min walk. Did not get the beach gear that was guaranteed in the rental contract so we had to spend a few hundred bucks out of pocket just to have chairs to sit on at the beach. Our door code didn't work so we had to leave a door unlocked if we went out. Reached out to Vacasa many times for help but local office was unresponsive to all concerns. Always got the same answer when I called customer support "someone from local office will contact you". Our vacation has ended and we've been home for two days and still no one from Vacasa has called. I would never recommend a rental from Vacasa to anyone.
