I booked Regenta Inn Sambalpur after seeing so many positive promotions and advertisements, but my actual experience was extremely disappointing.
The room was in poor condition and felt neglected. The bathroom had very low water pressure, making it difficult to use. The mattress was completely worn out, with the springs sagging badly, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. The bedsheets did not feel properly clean, and the towels were so old and yellowed that they clearly needed to be replaced.
The room also had a persistent smell, and there was a strong odour of cigarette smoke in the surroundings, which made the stay quite unpleasant.
The check-in process was another major frustration. Despite having a confirmed booking, the staff seemed confused about the reservation and took around 30 minutes to complete the check-in. For a business hotel, this level of inefficiency is simply unacceptable.
The only positive aspect of my stay was the breakfast. It was well-prepared, offered a decent variety, and was satisfying.
Unfortunately, one good breakfast cannot make up for the poor room condition, maintenance issues, and inefficient front desk experience. Based on my stay, I would not choose this hotel again.
